“Our family was totaly enthustiactic about the house as weel as about the location! Big stone made house is extremely spacy, an enourmous living room is big enough for many more than 4 people (number of beds). The interior is elegant but warm and cute (leather sofas, big soft carpet, stone floor, wooden stairways..). <br><br> The location could not been better, almost at the top of the hill with a great view. From the back door where the big pool is you can see the whole bay, with no trafic or near by neigbours. You can eat breakfast, swim, lie at the deckchair, play at the meadow around the pool. There is a lovely wooden fence around the property so you can catch the kids or the towels when the wind is to strong : ).<br><br> The owners are too good to be true, with no hint of being pushy. When we arrived the table was ready and oven full of different home cooked/backed food for more then our family. The kitchen was more equipped than at our home, fresh vegetable in the refrigirator, cheese, fresh bottle of vine, oil, boxes of cerealls, fresh bread..<br><br> On the second day we locked ourselves out from the house. They came immidiately, bringing us packages of freshly cooked meal along. They asked us to inform them when we will be out from the house so they came and cleaned the whole house/change towels in the middle of the week once more. Beside this, they pushed no contact.<br><br> Maybe we missed closets for the clothes (there are just a few drawers), but we injoyed the house so much that forgot about this in 2 seconds”

“Review: We stayed at Reverie Villa for 7 days, and it was perfect. The views were amazing and having breakfast under the pergola was priceless. The pool is also very nice and clean (pool towels are provided). The villa itself is beautiful and well equipped. We were a group of 8 (6 adults, 1 teenager and 1 child), and we definitely had enough space. It was cleaned once during our stay. We had (rented) cars, therefore the access to the villa was not a problem. But even going up the hill by foot can be seen as a very minor downside, fully compensated by what the villa has to offer. The owners were also extremely nice and I would like to thank them again for our wonderful vacation. ”

“We had a lovely week based in Maleme. The villa was everything that it said it would be and the welcome was more than we could possibly have expected. Aptera was a highlight - fascinating place with the added benefit of amazing views of Souda Bay and wonderful wild flowers. Great to have bike hire just down the road. The Botanic park was also well worth a visit - and a meal with delicious homemade lemonade.”

“We arrived at the villa to be warmly welcomed by Katerina and George and one of their sons, the table was ready outside and Katerina dished up a delicious home cooked lunch for us. They left food in the fridge, fruit, water, Raki and wine! They also brought us Greek pastries and other home cooked food during our stay. There is a supermarket a few minutes walk from the villa and it is within walking distance of the centre of Kalyves (although it was early season and not all the restaurants and bars were open) and the little harbour. It was lovely to be able to see the beautiful snow capped mountains from the centre of the village. We had a lovely stay at Villa Dionysus and Katerina, George and their sons are such a hospitable family.”

“Paradise! No other words to explain this beautiful Villa. Thought it was too good to be true but it most certainly wasn't. Our first time to Greece and we were not disappointed. The Villa has everything you could possibly need - and more. (Except for a heated pool but it's nice once you're in)<br><br> My husband and I (34&38) traveled with our 3 children (14, 11 & 3) and mother in law (60) w/c 14th April for 1 week. Weather was glorious despite the forecast predicting rain. There was none.<br><br> Suitable for all ages, the only snag would be the depth of the pool with not very confident swimmers. <br><br> We shopped at INKA & Lidl, filled the cupboards and fridge and had BBQ's a couple of nights. We also ate at The Roadhouse Pub & Grill which served excellent American food and fantastic steaks.<br><br> A car is very necessary, it's quite a distance away on foot to the nearest beach or shop.<br><br> The owner stayed in the next villa so any problems we could go over and tell him, he was over right away.<br><br> I have only been back in the UK 12hrs and I'm looking to book again. You have to literally see it to believe it. I've never been so sad to leave such a beautiful place.<br><br> Just have to add, if you dread returning to mounds of washing then threat no more, all my washing done before I left so the whole holiday was stress free from start to finish ;-)<br><br> Go on, get it booked. You won't be disappointed X ”

“We stayed at Metochi for a week - and we couldn't have been happier. The villa is amazing, the views breathtaking, the weather perfect, the food delicious, the beaches beautiful, the countryside stunning - we can't fault a thing. Manousos and his family have created a fabulous holiday home - well equipped, clean, fab pool and outdoor area, lots of room in the house and the rooftop terrace is great for catching those last rays. We fell in love with Chania and we'll definitely be back.”

“The villa was beautifully presented on top of the hillside with amazing views down to the cost and across to the snow capped mountains. The boys loved the pool and the Dad's the Barbecue area. Everybody enjoyed the town of Chania. Villa Company and owners service was excellent, and I would definitely recommend using both. thank you ”

“This is a really amazing villa. It is well equipt, beautifully furnished and kept. The garden and patio areas are in a lovely west facing position. We were 2 large families and there is more than enough space for 11 people. The games room in the basement is great for kids to escape to. Gavalachori is a really lovely quiet village fully of Cretian charm, the villagers are very helpful and friendly and there are 2 lovely restaurants, particularly Monica's in the main square. It is very close to Almyrida but this is not a walk (but a good run) so you really need a car for this Villa, to get about and see the Island. Anestis, who looks after the villa, could not have been more helpful, with great local advice. We had a few problems with the villa, I think we were the first guests of the season, and had some awful stormy weather, so mostly related to these things, but Anestis was very much on hand to deal with anything that arose. I would definitely recommend this villa to families or groups of families.”

“Thank you so much to Katerina and George for a wonderful, wonderful holiday. We could not have been made more welcome by our generous and considerate hosts. The villa was just what we were after. Plenty of space, everything you could wish for a really comfortable stay and well set up so that you can follow or hide from the sun all day long. Pick your own lemons, make yourself a drink and sit on one of the balconies or poolside to enjoy the view over the sea. Great having the supermarket a short walk away and everything you need available in Kalyves a few minutes drive away. The villa was great for exploring both the north coast and heading into the mountains and villages inland. By the end of the holiday we felt truly spoilt and would happily recommend the villa and its lovely owners. It is really well located to head into Chania and we advise at least one trip to the gorgeous Winter Cinema - Iroon Politechniou str - a 1940s cinema where films still come with a mid-show intermission. Overall a wonderful stay for us and our two young boys. Thanks again for making us so very welcome and all the wonderful gifts. ”

“The villa is set in beautiful surroundings with views over both the sea and the snow-capped mountains. Margarita - the owner - is incredibly welcoming and so very kind. It makes all the difference to arrive somewhere new and be made to feel so welcome - there was a basket of Cretan specialities and a basket of eggs from her own hens. <br> The house is spacious, calm and spotlessly clean. It felt luxurious having 4 bathrooms for the 5 of us (!) and terrace area was stunning alongside the pretty pool.<br> All in all I'd highly recommend staying here for a family with teenagers - it worked really well for us. ”

“Our family of four adults and two children have just returned from a stay at Calma villa and we all agree what a beautiful place it is. The owner greeted us very cheerfully and nothing was too much trouble. The villa is light and airy with very comfortable beds which is always a bonus. We were recommended to a local restaurant just a few minutes walk away on our first evening which turned out to be a delight. If in Crete again we would certainly stay here again and wish the owners good luck in their venture and again many thanks.”
