Dionysus Villa is located just outside the village of Kalyves, approximately 250 metres from the sandy, shallow beach of Kyani Akti. While this beach is not fully organised, it does offer some umbrellas and sun loungers, as well as a taverna and a few cafés. About 1 kilometre away begins the organised beach of Kalyves, which features umbrellas, sun loungers, water sports facilities, and lifeguards. The village's largest supermarket is only 250 metres from the villa and within the village itself you will find a wide variety of amenities, including restaurants, cafés, a butcher, a bakery, a pharmacy and various shops.
The villa’s beautiful outdoor area is ideal for relaxation and romantic moments. A wooden outdoor dining set is situated under the pergola, while pine trees provide shade over the lawn and seating area. Sun loungers surround the private pool, and there are additional outdoor seating arrangements on the balconies and in the garden. The view over Souda Bay is breathtaking, especially at night when the lights of Akrotiri reflect off the water.
Inside, the wooden ceilings, stone arches and walls, ceiling lights, and tasteful decor create an impressive and inviting atmosphere. The ground floor comprises a sitting area, dining area, kitchen, and one bathroom. All beds are located on the mezzanine floor, where the double bed is separated from the twin beds by a wooden partition. An additional bathroom is also located on this level.
2 sleeping areas, sleeps up to 4 persons

Again we had a wonderful stay for 3 weeks in the „Villa Dionysos“
- so to speak: Villa Dionysos 2.0. Everything was more than fine: The house, the garden with the pool and especially the covered terrace, where we spent most of the time, enjoying the view on the beach and the Souda Bay.
The hospitality of Katherina and her team was amazing - just like last year. We were very happy to see them again. They kept house, pool and garden in order and a special thanks to Katharinas culinary delights.
The town of Kalyves is not overly touristy, but rather cozy Greek. It is a good starting point to explore not only Chania, but the entire western part of Crete.
We have "Villa Dionysos 3.0" in our wellness plan for next year.
Exactly as described beautiful villa excellent location wonderful hosts thank you for a fabulous holiday
