“We went for 8 days to Gavalochoro a small town between Rethymno and Chania. We stayed with two families in total 9 persons. The villa is great. Nicely situated close to gavalochoro and offers an excellent holiday experience with a nice pool and a terrace with a great view on the white mountains. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Not every sleeping room has airco but we had no problem sleeping at night. Thanks also to Anestis who welcomed us at exact the time we agreed and to the cleaning ladies who really used their creativity to make the beds in a pleasant way.”

“Villa Kourkoulios is a great place to stay, we spent a very nice week there in July. Very quiet in a charming village just 20 mins from Chania, it is also a great starting point to explore the region. The villa is tastefully renovated, very well equipped, and very clean. The outside is very nice and comfortable with a barbecue pit and a private pool with a breathtaking view on the mountains and valleys around. The owners are very hospitable and speak perfect English. We warmly recommend villa Kourkoulios.”

“we stayed at the Metochi villa in mid july & had a fabulous stay!the villa it`s a real paradise,very beautiful with all the facilities you can actually desire.The swimming pool it`s amazing & it`s so peaceful around!the owner was also very nice & helpful.i will definetly recommend this place if you want to visit Chania!”

“We stayed 2 weeks early July at the Clio villa (4 adults, 2 children and a baby) and had a great time. The villa is easy and nice to live in, the view is superb (we couldn't get enough of the wonderful sunsets, for our eyes only :-)! There were very few mosquitoes inside the house thanks to a very handy "net system" integrated in each window. The cleaning, which takes place twice a week, is done by a very professional and friendly team! From our location we easily visited (by car) the following sites: Balos, Chania City - the Katholiko ruins/caves and the ancient Aptera archeological site. Go to Creta, it's really worth it!”

“Io Villa is amazing! We spent a relaxing, sunshine-filled week here lounging around the villa and exploring nearby towns and beaches. Our flight arrived at night and we had trouble finding the place along some poorly lit streets (the villa is on a section of dirt road and it is out of town) but Stella, the owner, was still there waiting for us at 11pm with a smile, a bottle of family-made wine and a basket of fruit. The villa is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, private and has gorgeous views over the landscape. The photos of this villa are not deceptive. Five adults occupied the villa and we always felt like we had our own space. The villa is only 5minutes from the nearest town (Melame) with shops and a supermarket and it is about 20 minutes to Chania, which has a charming old town, port and large array of restaurants. We have been travelling around Europe and found Crete to be by far the friendliest place we have encountered. The people are very genuine and generous. Stella's family also make olive oil and we received a bottle as a gift at the end of our stay- a delicious memory of our stay. This is the first review I've been moved to make and can't recommend this villa and this island enough. 10/10. ”

“nous avons passé 2 semaines très agréable dans une superbe maison. Située à 10 minutes d'une belle plage de galets,la villa est entourée d'oliviers et a une superbe vue sur la mer. Il ne manque rien et la décoration intérieure est faite avec gout. De plus les propriétaires sont charmants, nous donnent des adresses pour des tavernes et des idées de visite. Piscine débordante avec vue mer.”

“We stayed at the Geana Villa for one week and didn't want to leave, it was heaven! The villa sat a top mountain with beautiful views of the Mediterranean and surrounding terrain. Orchards of olive trees surround you as the cool mountain breeze naturally air conditions area throughout the day. <br><br> The amenities and furnishing of the house was truly 5 star and we could asking for anything more. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything to you would need to make dinner and outside was a great wood fire BBQ to make some truly delicious feasts. <br><br> We found that the local tavernas off the main strip had best the prices, great food and excellent atmosphere as we danced and drank RAKI through out the night with restaurant owners. <br><br> The surrounding towns of Agia Marina and Platanas had young hip beaches, plenty of shops and clubs to keep us interested through our stay. We spent plenty of time at villa mercedes off of the main strip, which is a constant beach party. Mercedes has great beachfront service for drinks and food, not mention a DJ playing some great tunes as we relaxed on the beach. The water at the beach was extremely warm Agia Marina opposed to some of the other beaches we went to on West side of the island. <br><br> It is definitely worth getting some transportation to check out some of the other beaches on the island. Not to mention it is a long walk from the villa to main strip so a car or motorcycles are definitely advised.”

“My partner and I have travelled around Crete over the past few years but our friends have always preferred 5* all inclusive. We persuaded them to try our style of holiday and none of us were disappointed by Villa Joseph. You have the freedom to sleep, eat, drink and swim when you want to in the privacy of your own villa. The photos on the website show exactly what you can expect, it is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. My only minor criticism would be, having previously stayed in british owned greek villas which are fully equiped with all the utensils and pans you could need, is the lack of cooking equipment. This would not stop me from booking this villa again because it is possible to improvise and of course there are guests who have no intention of cooking while they are on holidays. The owner, Yannis, is very friendly, good humoured and pops in every fews days with little gifts which is lovely. All in all we had a fabuous fortnight and would not hesitate to book this accomodation again.”

“Met all our expectations - a lovely villa with plenty of room - cleaned twice during our one week visit - fabulous views and one of the best pools we have ever had. A lovely area - shops within a 5 min drive. What more can one say - Highly recommended. ”
