“The villa was perfect, exactly as described with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The gardens are typical Cretan olive groves & fruit trees. Kalives was a lively town within walking distance & the sea was gorgeous. Bonus of it being just over the road. It was lovely to lie in bed & hear the waves in the distance. The pool was good size and clean. The USP for Dionysus villa must be the owners. George & Katerina & their son Manolis were so kind & welcoming. Their English was good which helped when they were telling us all about the area & history of Crete. They showered us with gifts of food & wine every time we saw them. My only comment for improvement would be some slightly clearer instructions from the airport. the photos are good but not so helpful in the dark, plus only cover last 3 miles. Failing that use your sat nav on your phone to Kalives.”

“This villa is absolutely amazing. The view is something I close my eyes and remember to get us through the winter! Inside it feels very luxurious, marble staircases and a wonderful feeling of space. The pool is great, lovely loungers and stunning views from all of the villa. A definite plus for us is the pool table and table football - great family entertainment. The way it is set up with almost a flat in the basement (sadly lacking a toilet, shower room) is great for teenagers or a second (or third) couple. An easily walkable distance away are the tavernas and supermarkers. We particularly favoured Takis tavern, good food extremely generous hosts, free drinks etc. Almirida is walkable but hard work coming back up, there are taxis but would advise not leaving that too late in the evening, they tend to disappear. This was our second visit just this year and one word of warning - it's incredibly difficult to leave this place ”

“We stayed at Stema Villa for 2 Weeks in September 2014. At first we have to say we felt from the very beginning like Home. The welcoming of the Owners was very kind and also the rest of the time the Service was just awesome. They are really kind folks. The Villa has everything you need and it is just better than in the description. Also the Kitchen has everything what you need and it is really clean like the rest of the Villa. It is very roomy and there is also a terrace to the west where you can watch the sunset. The garden is so nice with all the different flowers and trees and fruits. It is so cozy. The backyard of the Villa where the Pool is, is totally private and so quiet. So you can stay there and relax like we did it. Also you have nearly the whole day sun in the backyard. We had great Holidays at Villa Stema and we be sure that we come back next Year. We can recommend that Villa to everybody. ”

“Having holidayed in many private villas with private pool this has to rank one of the best! The location is quiet and very private but a 5 minute walk to an excellent bus service into neighbouring Platanios and Chania. A 15 minute walk will take you down to the beach where there are several restaurants and bars all reasonably priced with fantastic views to watch the sun go down with a cocktail. The villa itself is spotlessly clean and as for the pool area there is nothing more to ask for as it is very secluded, clean and a real sun trap all day but with areas of shade if required. The owners are a delight and nothing is too much trouble as they wish you to have a truly relaxing holiday. Joanne even comes in during your stay to clean and provide fresh bed linen and towels. Very friendly and helpful. My wife and I cannot recommend this villa enough and aim to return in the future. ”

“We had our honeymoon in Vallia Villa -one of the best holidays we have ever had. Villa Vallia is clean, well equipped and comfortable. Very peaceful, secure and private in lovely, well maintained grounds and a wonderful, good sized pool. The surrounding villages were very good with very nice restaurants and lovely beaches.<br><br> The owners are very thoughtful and really care about your stay. We would thoroughly recommend the Villa to anyone and look forward to returning in the future. ”

“We stayed for 10 days and we had a great time at the villa. The owner of the house is friendly. In the villa the pool towels were missing, so we asked for pool towels and kitchen utensils, the owner brought the missing things. The Wi-fi connection was good, but the Wi-fi cannot reach the second floor. Overall good service, nice villa, clean and very spacious.”

“What can say. This is one of those jewels that you find once in a lifetime,stunning villa, beautiful surroundings and owners that treat you like special family. Doesn't matter where you stand and look with this Villa it's either the sea or the White Mountains,whether the top balcony or the the one above the front door every aspect is exquisite. <br>Joanna's new addition to the garden (fresh herbs) by the BBQ is great for marinating chicken and pork ready for some homemade Souvalaki and treating yourself to some fresh Basil leaves from under the tree was great. Spotlessly clean as usual and we got three cleans and bed changes as we managed a 10 day stay this year. <br> This has been year 4 on the trot and we are already arranging next years visit so if you have a high stress levels in your daily life and need to recharge this is the place, water babies or kids overflowing with bounce this is the place or if you just want to lay back and wait for a cloud to go by while eating the fresh fruit that Lefteris,Alexandra or Joanna had left, well you can do that too! <br>Thanks! “The villa is beautiful, clean and well-equipped. Excellent location, the nice sandy beach is just right in the front of the villa, shops and restaurants are just a few minutes away by foot, as well as can easily get access to major roads. The owner is very friendly and helpful, not only provided us with a lot of food upon our arrival, but also checked in from time to time and made sure we had no problem in staying in the villa. The housekeeper was very sweet and brought us the fresh tomatoes grown in the garden. We had an excellent holiday in the villa and definitely recommend everyone to choose the villa as the first place for holiday in Crete! ”

“My Wife and I stayed in Nektarios Villa with 2 friends for a week in August. The Villa is modern, clean and a great place to relax. The pool and garden were lovely and we made use of the barbeque and ate outside in the evenings. We found the nearest village of Maleme was a short car journey rather than a walk away . The villa is some way out of town, surrounded by olive groves so its nice and quiet once the secardas have given up for the day! Good Value and great place to chill out. Andrew ”

“Das Haus liegt auf einem Kamm, ein paar hundert Meter Luftlinie vom Meer. Man sieht wunderbar auf das Meer und die schräg gegenüberliegende Halbinsel. Hightlight: Auch vom Pool aus! Nachts hört man die Brandung. Zum Haus: Es ist ziemlich neu (afaik 2011), gut ausgestattet, jedes Zimmer mit eigener Klimaanlage. Sehr schöne Küche, toller Kühlschrank... Zum Stand sind es rund 2km. Das wäre zu Fuß zu schaffen, aber einfacher geht es doch mit dem Auto. Auch zu den meisten Attraktionen Westkretas braucht man es fast. Aber die haben wir leider vor lauter Sonne und Sand etwas vernachlässigt.”
