“nous sommes partis 1 semaine entre amis dans la villa del Mare, c'était parfait. La maison est magnifique et très bien équipée , la vue est à couper le souffle et la piscine est très agréable. Nous avons passé d'excellents soirées sur la terrasse principale, on a pu profiter du BBQ tous les jours. <br><br> Semaine de rêve, nous conseillons tous la villa del mare aux futurs voyageurs!”

“Fabulous two weeks at Markos. 40deg heat throughout and the peace and quiet of Drapanos made it the perfect fly and flop family holiday.<br><br> The villa is set on the hill side overlooking Souda bay and is only 4km from the beaches at Almyrida<br><br> Drapanos has a little village shop and several tavernas - beware the local raki!<br><br> Will return if dates allow. ”

“What a truly magnificent property with breathtaking views. <br> On our arrival Margarita was the perfect host, greeting us and then giving a tour of simply beautiful home finished to very high standards.<br> The property is very spacious and would easily accommodate large parties (there were 9 of us with a large double bed and a sofa bed spare!)<br> The pool, BBQ and numerous outdoor seating areas together with carefully located sun screens allowed all family members to enjoy the Cretian sun throughout the day/evening.<br> A 25 minute walk takes you to a Galatas with traditional bars and restaurants, alternately walk the opposite direction (a few steep inclines) and your at the beech of Agia Marinas and the costal rd to Chania or Platalanis.<br> A car or push bikes would be ideal although there are many Taxis to get you out and about.<br><br> We would not have any hesitation in returning to such wonderful hosts and thier sumptuous property!<br><br> Thanks for a truly magnificent holiday from us all!!! ”

“This is an amazing villa. Extremely clean, modern and luxurious! The air conditioning meant we have never slept so well on holiday. We had the best holiday ever and the owners made us feel really welcome. <br><br>The villa has great views of the sea and the mountains and feels very secluded, even though it is a short drive away from all the amenities you would expect from a beach resort. The local restaurants were wonderful and very reasonable.<br><br> We cannot recommend this villa high enough....just book early to avoid disappointment!”

“In August we spent two weeks in Margarita`s Villa1. We all, 6 persons ( 3 generations ), had a great time there.<br> Margarita and her husband are great hosts. Everything the pictures promise is real. New, tasteful facilities, very clean and well kept.<br> Apart from the cicadas the place is very quiet and peaceful.<br> We enjoyed shopping and eating in the village,but for more action, it`s only a short drive to Chania.<br> We would rent the house at any time again!”

“We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in this villa. my daughter booked this as a surprise for her husband for his 40th birthday there were four families , we all had our own space if we needed it the villa is wonderful<br> there is everything you need it has been really well thought out there was water ,wine and fruit waiting for use and lots more besides .we will be returning and the views are spectacular .carnt wait to go back .The owner Natalie was more than helpful ”

“The villa was excellent with good facilities and nice attentive owner. The pool man came every day, sometimes a little early for us as we are late risers on holiday! We made good use of the washing machine and dishwasher and the children used the wi-fi to good affect. The beach is not too far and very enjoyable. We travelled far and wide and especially enjoyed Chania harbour and Rethyymno. Aptera was interesting and we had a very good meal at the Aptera Taverna. Oddly an interesting visit was to the British war cemetery at Souda Bay which is in a beautiful location. An enjoyable holiday, we will be coming back.”

“We are a family of 6 and found the Old Olive Mill accommodated us perfectly well. The building and garden are beautiful and extremely comfortable yet retain old world charm (they are far more beautiful than the website photos suggest!). The pool was a great asset, especially for cooling off in the heat of the day while the barbecue area was used by us every night for cooking. The pizza oven works really well too. <br><br> You could not wish for more hospitable and charming hosts than Manousos, his wife Elena and sons Kostas and Nikos. Kostas greeted us on arrival at the house at 1.30am with enthusiasm and gifts of produce and home cooking. Their generosity throughout our 2 week stay was overwhelming with almost daily gifts of local traditional foods and their home cooking as well as the produce of their farmland. They are also very able to help you with any questions during your holiday and advise on days out. <br><br> Embrosneros is a beautiful quiet town with an excellent bakery, cafe and theatre as well as a pretty chuch and castle. A 5 minute drive away is Vreses which can meet all your shopping needs with several supermarkets, a butcher and patisserie. It's a great location for exploring western and central Crete including Sfakia and is refreshingly out of the usual tourist areas. Chania is a 40 minute drive away, Rethmyno 50 minutes and Heraklion 90 minutes.<br><br> One of our best ever holidays and the villa and owners played a huge part in that. Highly recommended.”

“Very beautiful house, above our expectations !<br><br> The owner is very nice and we spent really good time there. I can recommend it whitout any restriction to anyone...the inhabitants gave us very warm welcome and even presents. The local food at Maza must absolutely be tasted. It is very close to the sea and the mountains. A car is mandatory.”
