“The beautiful, secluded Villa Metochi is the most wonderful villa we've stayed at in 25 years of visiting Greece. <br><br>We've stayed nearby several times, so know all the terrific places to visit and eat at. The villa has very friendly owners, who are so welcoming. It is well equipped, but the really special points to make are the stunning views of the sea, olive groves and mountains. At night, it has very dark skies, offering wonderful views of the Milky Way, from the roof top terrace. Both bedrooms have small balconies. The surrounding area is very sparsely populated, other than an adjacent villa further down the hillside, meaning lots of peace and quiet. <br><br> The infinity swimming pool is about 8 m x 3.5 m and is really well maintained, as are the beautiful grounds. The interior is very modern and beautifully kept, with lots of helpful extras, such as reading books, first aid kit, etc. The welcome pack left by the owner was much appreciated, since we arrived close to midnight.<br><br> Nearest beach is about half an hour's walk, so we recommend having access to a car for the 5 minute drive. Nearest shops, restaurants and amenities are in Tavronitis or Kolumbari, both about 3 km drive away. Chania Rentals also sorted this for us and we've always had a good service from the hire company.<br><br> We've just re-booked for next year, so you can see how much we enjoyed our stay!”

“We just spent two weeks in Danae villa. The place is magic, with incredible view. Villa is very well equiped, and structured (pool and barbecue place are really quite pleasant), perfectly fitted for a family with 2 or 3 kids, or two families.<br><br> Location is very quiet, but you mandatorily need a car to get there and visit the area. It is however ideally located between Chania and the incredible and famous western beaches.<br><br> Kyriakos is a very attentive and responsive host, and this was a pleasure to discuss with him and benefit from his local experience.<br><br> We definitely enjoyed our vacations, and will come back to Danae Villa with pleasure ”

“Mooie villa exact zoals op de foto's. Zeer mooi uitzicht over Lake Kournas en de zee. Kamers met airco. Omdat de villa wat hoger ligt, heb je meestal wel een lekker windje. Als je iets vraagt, wordt het gelijk geregeld door de eigenaar. Uitstapje naar Samaria Kloof 1,5 uur met de bus. Ons favoriete restaurantje deze afgelopen twee weken was Babis. Beste aanvlieghaven is Chania. Maar rit vanaf Heraklion is ook goed te doen.”

“This is the second time we've stayed at the beautiful Olive Mill Villa and we loved it again.<br> Kostas and his family are really genuine, welcoming and kind, and were always available if we needed anything. The pool and house are clean, spacious and generous. The location is fantastic, so quiet and really welcome to come up to the mountain breezes at the end of the day! The Bakery in Emprosneros is really worth a visit too. <br><br>We look forward to coming back again another year!”

“From arrival to departure , really could not fault this villa at all. We were met by the owner Marilos , great guy very friendly and very helpful , couldn’t do enough for us . <br><br>800 Metre walk to Plaka where there are a few tavernas , all very good and great value . Walk another 1000m and you are in Almyrida , but more lively and a lovely beach and a few bars . Something for everyone .<br><br> If I was staying in this area again , I would definitely recommend villa euphoria due to its location , the owners hospitality , the pool and barbecue area are brilliant too . <br><br> Just we needed after months of uncertainty , just wish we had Stayed longer . ”

“In these strange COVID-19 times Villa Resi offered us a safe haven & peaceful escape. We felt very much at home in the villa which offers a maximum of comfort as well as a spectacular view. We are big fans of the island & can confirm this is by far the best villa we’ve ever stayed at. Every detail has been taken care of, including the absolute privacy of both houses. “We had a very relaxing time at this stunning villa. The villa is very stylish with good quality furnishings and very comfortable beds and bedding. The bathrooms are all large and spacious with mainly huge shower cubicles. The bedrooms are all very spacious and the views from the upstairs balconies even better than the pool. It is the nicest villa and certainly the nicest view we have had when renting a villa in Europe. The panoramas were exceptional and so were the sunsets. The pool is beautiful and sunbeds very comfortable. <br><br> We ate one night at the local taverna where the food was tasty and big portions but we preferred the choice of restaurants and setting by the sea in Almyrida which is just a short drive away. There is a very small shop within walking distance as well but again more choice a little drive away. The villa is perfect for getting away from it all in a modern luxury environment. The driveway to the villa is unmade which we were a bit concerned about at first but our Volvo managed to cope with it. We liked watching the local goats and sheep. It's about 15 mins drive to Almyrida beach but the pool at the villa is better, you won't really want to leave except for meals out!”

“We had the most fantastic holiday. <br>The villa is superb, clean and bright. Everything we could have wished for was available and had been carefully considered- especially the eco friendly aspect. <br>The views are simply stunning and there are many interesting places to visit nearby. <br>The pool was big enough for 7 of us as were the grounds. <br>It was lovely to see and hear the sheep and goats every morning and evening- not forgetting the birds of prey above us. <br>Two of our party went on 40 mile bike rides, having hired bicycles. <br>The two restaurants nearby catered well for our needs although we had wonderful barbecues at the villa Too. <br><br>Each of our party had a great time - we couldn’t have asked for better. We found a small bay nearby where we swam on several mornings- along with local people. The welcome pack was really appreciated too as we arrived at 11pm. <br><br>Thank you Artemis for welcoming us into your beautiful villa.”

“Our family spent an absolutely wonderful week in July at Enid Villa. The house is beautiful, functionally furnished, fully equipped, and at the same time very cozy, so after a few minutes we felt at home. The sea view is breathtaking and will remain in my memory for a very long time. The photos do not fully reflect the impression it made on us. The location of the house on a hill means that even on the hottest days the heat does not bother you - a pleasant wind blows. The shaded patio also provides shelter from the sun.<br><br> The hosts were very welcoming, and in case of questions contact with them was very easy. We were greeted with delicious home-made cake (thank you Annita!) and wine.<br><br> I could not wish for anything more on this holiday, my only regret is that it was so short. <br> I hope that someday we will visit Enid Villa again. ”

“We were unsure, whether we could make our summer vacation due to Covid-19, but both Chania rentals as well as the landlord Anton were really supportive and flexible with arrival dates - given that our initial flights had been cancelled.<br><br> When we arrived at this beautiful house we were welcomed as the very first guests by the kind landlord. To celebrate the event we even got a homemade delicious cake.<br><br> The holidays felt even better than the previous years on Crete as we had the contrast of the previous lockdown at home.<br><br> The house was perfect for our family of five. The pool has a perfect size, big enough for swimming, but especially with its depths and the shallow extra part it was never too cold. Inside everything was new but also cozy. The new showers were the best we ever had in any holiday home so far. And the boxspring beds were also extra class.<br><br> Outside we loved to sit in the shade of the patio enjoying the panoramic view on the bay and mountains.<br><br> Not only the house itself but also its locations is ideal for vacation. Using the shortcuts we could reach the National Road for destinations like Elafonissi or Samari gorge in a few minutes. Nearby we had two nice beaches also less than 10 minutes distance by car.<br><br> There is a beautiful one hour hiking trip around Douliana, which is less than 5 minutes from the house and offers nice views. So dont miss it.<br><br> Anton and his family were always there to answer any questions and made us feel home abroad.<br><br> We hope to return some day to this beautiful holiday home”

“We had high expectations and we were not disappointed in this lovely Villa. Artemis was very responsive from the booking to our stay. The welcome basket was really appreciated as we arrived later in the day. Any questions I had during the stay were answered very promptly.<br><br> A note for drivers: the Google maps is correct and you do have to drive down a rocky lane way to find the entrance gate to the amazing Villa. :-)<br><br> The WiFi worked extremely well and we enjoyed Netflix after we enjoyed the sunsets. The pool was huge and used often in our visit. We also visited the beach a few times at Almyrida which was lovely with lots of restaurants. Don't forget to visit or order delivery from Eleonora's Taverna. The food was very tasty and the portions big!<br><br> Looking forward to visiting our favourite Villa again.”
