“Myself and my friend group of 6 stayed in villa aretousa 2, and it would come too short to say we had an incredible stay. <br> <br> We were greeted by lovely Giannis, the villa owner, at the airport. He immediately took us to the local supermarket and graciously waited outside while we shopped, and was so kind and accommodating throughout our stay. He offered to take us on day trips and also provided us transport back to the airport. <br> <br> The villa itself was simply spectacular; the pictures do not do it justice. It is very spacious, with 2 kitchens, 4 bathrooms, and 5 bedrooms (most of which had double beds). All of the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the ones on the top 2 floors had incredible balconies with remarkable views. All the facilities (kitchen, air conditioner etc.) worked perfectly. The decor was lovely, especially in the bathroom on the 2nd floor, which was marble. The pool was amazing, decked with 6 sun loungers, and we had great fun with the mini golf. We often spent long stretches of the day happily chilling in the villa, as it was simply so lovely. <br> <br> The location was very handy, just a 10/15 min walk to the local Agia Marina, which has so many great restaurants and beach clubs. <br> <br> Overall, I could not recommend this villa more, especially for larger groups. The value is incredible for what you get. I would go so far as to stay it was the nicest place I have ever stayed in. ”

“The surroundings of the villa are very quiet. <br> The view is spectacular, specially at sunset. <br> Close to Plaka village, with is quite enjoyable (market, restaurants). <br> And concerning Manolis : the warm welcome, the quality of the communication on WhatsApp, the advices (restaurants, sightseeings) everything was great. ”

“The Calma Seaside Villa was a perfect spot for our vacation. We stayed there for two weeks. The house is located very close to the beach and is surrounded by olive trees and an nice backyard. Everything is very well maintained and the house is modern. The owner was very nice and left us a full fridge with lots of local foods, water, drinks and freshly baked bread, toast, Dakos bread, olive oil and lots more. We wouldn't have needed to go grocery shopping for at least 2 days! Even coffee was stocked up well - so we could just start our vacation right away. Just perfect. <br><br> We had really everything we needed in the house and by the pool. In every of the 3 bathrooms there was a hairdryer, soap and other amenities. We really liked the interior design and the decorations! You could tell, that it was done with love. <br><br>The cleaning lady came twice a week and everything was clean and the towels were alle renewed. I appreciated very much, that the owner informed us quite in advance that the cleaning lady was coming. Over all the communication was very easy and we felt well informed, and if there had been any problem, we would have been helped for sure. <br><br>There are a few nice restaurants within walking distance or a short drive by car. Every restaurant sits right by the ocean - so nice. <br><br>I can only rate this house with 5 Stars! We will be back. Thank you very much for 2 relaxing and perfect weeks. ”

“Situated on a quiet road just outside Tavronitis, this well equipped, secure, modern villa benefits from its wonderful views, elevated position and swimming pool. There is a wonderful roof terrace with seating, which is perfect for late night stargazing, with a glass of wine! It has views of the mountains and sea and there is only one neighbouring property in front, owned by a quiet family. Otherwise, it is surrounded by olive groves.<br><br>The kitchen is really well equipped and you can dine inside or out, in comfort. The cleaner comes twice a week and the villa is left looking immaculate. <br><br>We have been greeted with a welcome basket on both our visits, which is a much appreciated touch. This was our second visit to the villa and the owner, Despina, has been extremely friendly and helpful when we have visited. She has perfect English. <br><br>Around the pool there are a number of comfortable sun-loungers. The main bedroom overlooking the pool has sea views and allows one to watch the sunrise! The pool terrace has sun from dawn to around 6-30 pm in August, though the pool itself has gradual shade from around 4-30. There are plenty of shady areas for those wishing to have a break from the sun.<br><br>It is about 25 minutes walk to the nearest commercial and dining facilities, so a car is pretty much essential. We have used Chania Rentals for our car hire 6 times previously on trips to Crete. They are very reputable imo.<br><br>The are several supermarkets in the nearby towns/villages and the usual bakers, butchers, etc. Most are only a few minutes drive away. There is a Lidl at the far end of Maleme, which is about 12 minutes drive towards the airport on the old national road. Access to the New National Road, is perhaps 7-8 minute drive in either direction along the old road.<br><br>Local beaches are easy to reach and are perfectly ok. The fabulous Falasarna beaches are around 45 minutes drive and well worth a few trips. Elafonisi is a jewel too, but is 75 minutes away through the mountains. Try to arrive before 9 am, for the best photo opportunities, or you'll have to battle thousands of other tourists. <br><br>We have no hesitation in recommending this villa and we will definitely be back in the future!!”

“We stayed for one week and wish we would have had enough time for a month 😀. <br><br>The Villa is really fantastic, finished to very high standards and the view from the pool is awesome. Despite this being part of a double house, it is very smartly constructed in a way you won’t even notice there is another villa on the other side ! <br><br>We’ve rented with Chania rentals several times and all runs really smooth, also the Villa Owner was super friendly and helpful…….thanks for the great time and hope to be back soon 😀”

“We reserved this beautiful villa for 8 days. As has been mentioned before, Katarina welcomed us with a warm meal, which we really appreciated. She bought us more food every 2-3 days and we could eat as many grapes and figs from the yard as we wanted. <br><br> We really loved the view over the bay of Chania and sitting around and swimming in the pool. <br><br> There are very few neighbors and it is a really quiet neighborhood, which we enjoyed. <br><br>At the bottom of the hill are two good restaurants (2-3 Minute walk) and a super market, two cafes (5 minute walk) and the beach (10 minute walk) are all nearby. <br><br> We liked the villa so much that we extended our day for four additional days. Katarina's son Manolis was also very helpful with all our questions and the cleaning lady came every day for the pool and twice a week to clean inside the house. <br><br> We would love to come back again.”

“We had our best ever holiday staying in Maleme Villa during the first 2 weeks of August. The villa is absolutely beautiful, it had everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. We were a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and the space the villa offered was spot on with everyone having their own room. It is a beautiful property finished to a high spec, and offers lots of lovely shaded outdoor areas for relaxing with a book and a glass of wine or a beer. Stella is the most fantastic host we have ever experienced, giving us lots of tips on places to visit, local restaurants etc, not to mention bringing us some lovely local pastries and icecream during our stay. The villa is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach and lot of lovely tavernas, yet is set in a very peaceful setting so it's lovely and quiet. Absolutely loved every minute of our stay in Maleme Villa, and will definitely return! ”
