“We located the villa easily with the directions provided. We were greeted by the English speaking owner who was very helpful and curteous. She was easily contacted when we had questions. The villa is very nice and everything worked and the little touches were great e,g welcome fruit baseket plus essential cooking items. Agia Marina is a busy resort so a lot going on for the young-at-heart but the villa is away from the busy centre so peaceful, (but sill within walking distance). Thanks for a lovely stay!”

“Nous étions 3 familles et avons séjourné durant 15 jours à 6 adultes et 5 enfants dans cette superbe villa où nous avons passé des vacances inoubliables. Gavalochori est idéalement situé pour rayonner dans les différents endroits intéressants à visiter (Chania, Rethymnon, Heraklion, plus les superbes plages alentours...). A seulement 4 km de la villa se trouve le village d'Almyrida en bord de mer et Kalyves où l'on trouve tout le nécessaire en terme de plages, restaurants, supermarchés etc... Anestis, qui nous a accueilli le premier jour, est trés serviable et vraiment au petit soin pour nous. N 'hésitez pas à lui demander des conseils et des bons plans pour les endroits à visiter et les restaurants à ne pas manquer. ”

“This house accommodated our party of 8 perfectly. It had everything we needed for our stay and we had a fantastic holiday. The villa and pool were well looked after and our host very welcoming and generous. We managed without a car for a week as the local buses were brilliant and supermarket and restaurants are within easy walking distance. First time to Crete but hopefully not the last! Thank you! ”

“Our week at the Villa del Sole has to rank as one of the most relaxed holidays we've had yet. The villa itself is fantastic, well furnished and cool as all room have efficient AC if required. The only criticism we have is that the bathrooms are a little tired, there are no showers and the water pressure is very low, especially in the top bathrooms. However, these are only minor issues really. A car is a must as there are no shops or attractions within walk-able distance and be prepared to do a shop for groceries on the first day as no basics are provided. The owner 'Konstantinos' was also brilliant and met us from the car-hire pickup at a very unsociable hour to ensure we found the Villa quickly (only 15 mins from airport). He also provided much help through the week and made sure we were OK on a number of occasions. For families with children it is highly recommended. The pool is in lovely condition and great snorkeling can be found off the boat ramp at the bottom of the garden All in all a great trip. ”

“Nous avons passé une semaine dans la villa IRIS qui est vraiment très réussie, très confortable et tout à fait conforme à la description du site. La piscine est géniale, la vue sur les montages et la mer est belle et les propriétaires extrêmement gentils et serviables. La localisation de la villa nous a semblé idéale car bien en retrait de quelques kilomètres de la route principale qui longe les plages et les localités très touristiques et n'est finalement pas très loin de Xania (25 minutes). Elle est aussi bien située pour les excursions vers les plages de l'ouest et du sud ouest et les gorges de Samaria.”

“We stayed in the Anthos Villa in July and would highly recommend it. Location is super, very quiet and with a stunning sea view. Due to the location theres always a nice breeze, so even in middle of summer its very pleasant. and not too hot. The Villa is furnished to high standards, the pool excellent and the agency handled it perfectly, also very friendly staff. Last but not least, Crete is a fantastic island and the beaches are great.”

“Our 2 week experience at the Metochi Villa was just perfect. Everything was just first class. The house, the furnishing, the equipment and service is without any doubt 5 star rating. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated and fully equipped. The pool and the big terrace was just perfect to cater for our relaxing days. The barbecue and pizza oven outside ensured some delicious home cooked diners. The owners were adorable, very welcoming and always available if one needed anything or had any questions. The housekeeping, garden and pool maintenance was organised by the owner twice a week. The house was perfectly located on a quiet hillside surrounded by olive groves, a 5 minute drive from the local village and with plenty to do and visit in the area........ just a dream Holiday. There was however one major problem............... 2 weeks was too short. We should have stayed 1 more week.”

“We stayed here the first two weeks in July 2013 to celebrate a 60th birthday in a special way with family. On arrival we could not have been more pleased with the villa as it surpassed all expectations. The accommodation was extremely spacious, very well equipped and comfortable (beds included!). As the villa is situated at the top of a hill, it afforded huge panoramic views of the ocean, the village and the mountains behind ....which even the local taxi drivers found breath taking! Memories to cherish forever. It is owned by a local family who renovated it in 2010 to a very high spec. Stavros, Stella and son George were extremely welcoming, helpful and could not do enough for us, with gifts of fresh eggs and oranges. All this contributed to us having a very enjoyable holiday here. We would not hesitate in recommending this villa, and would definitely stay here again if another family celebration arises in the future. Top marks for lovely gifts on departure...we were very touched.”

“The house was big enough for two families. We were four adults and four children. Nice outdoor enviroment. The view from the balcony and from the rooms were stunning. The size of the pool was big enough both for children and adults. The only negativ what we could think of was the steep shortcut to walk down from the house to the beach and shops. We felt it was a bit long to walk the way around so we took the shortcut. I would suggest that you built som stairs to make it easier to take the shortcut. This would make it feel much more closer to the beach and the other resturants and shops. The house had a good standard and we were all very pleased with the stay. The mattrasses were a bit too hard for Scadinavian people. ”

“We had two very nice weeks at Villa Keronia this summer! I must admit that we were a bit sceptical to book our villa online, but Chania Rentals were very professional, and we felt safe and good taken care of all the way. We were in Villa Keronia the two first weeks of July. When we arrived, a very nice couple met us at the villa. We were shown around, and were stunned both by the space and the design. It was all very good! (And we are a bit picky!) Everything worked very well in the villa. We are two families with small children (aged 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7) and the villa was very suitable for us. The only place where we were a bit afraid for the youngest child was on the terrace, because the "fence" was quite low. But both the garden and the house are very family friendly. We spent many days by the pool (excellent!!), but became very fond of the beach Almyrida as well. (Small and child friendly - but also nice waves for a bit of surfing). Some of us walked to the beach (about 3 km), but we recommend renting a car. There is just a short walk (200 m?) to the local store, and we went there every morning for fresh bread etc. But for larger shopping (for barbequing etc) we went to Chania. All in all a very good vacation!!”
