“We have spend wonderfull 12 days in the villa. The house is a bit rural, but you have all you need. The kids (12, 16, 19) loved much the pool. Very quiet place with an amazing view.

Kitchen equipment is not on a high level, but pretty ok. The owner is very nice and extremley helpfull. Thank you again!

To the sea it takes about 10 min. by car. At the beach in Maleme it was even in the high season (early July) very ok. We could always find a sunbed and for free. You just had to consume something from the bar.”
“We had a wonderful holiday at the beautiful Villa del Mare. We were two families with young children and the villa was really comfortable and spacious even for 10 people. An added highlight was a good size with a big basketball court where we could play football and cricket with the kids, and a gym where the adults could work off holiday excesses! The villa had a lovely deep infinity pool which we all enjoyed. The location and view of the sea is really breathtaking. There are some lovely coves and beaches a short drive away.

I would really recommend Chania Rentals who have some fabulous villas on their books.

Stella who we dealt with once at the villa was very friendly, kind and helpful and quick to respond.

Thank you for this wonderful stay at this special villa. ”
“Villa Enid had everything we wanted. It has great views, an amazing pool and really wonderfully decorated. The photos are correct! We thoroughly enjoyed our week!”
“We spent a week at Villa Keronia with another family, so 9 in total. There was plenty of room for us all. The house is lovely and the grounds perfect. There is also a great games room. The village of Gavolachori has a wonderful little centre with restaurants and a bohemian vibe. ”
“We had a brilliant 2 weeks staying at Villa Euphoria! Manolis was such an excellent host-popping over every now and again to check the pool and leaving us tasty treats, he also gave us some really good advice to help us with day trips we had planned.

The Villa is in a great location-10 mins walk into Plaka Village and a short drive to the beaches of Almyrida and Kalyves. The view is absolutely amazing and you’re not over-looked at all.

The kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy, everything works and the whole Villa was spotlessly clean when we arrived.

The highlight of the Villa is definitely the outside space-our boys loved the pool and we enjoyed BBQing and watching the sunset in the evening.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday! ”
“The house hade a wonderful view. The outside was great with a nice pool and seatingareas. We thougt the kitchen was a bit small for 10 people, also a to small dishwasher. The equipment in kitchen could be updated in terms of bowls, cups etc. The bedrooms very nice. Overall a really nice house and the owners were helpful and nice. ”
“The views from the villa were stunning . It is large and spacious . Car definitely required as a long steep hill from the Village to the Villa. Pool size lovely. All out door furniture tired, garden area could be lovely.

The villa requires updating, main en-suite very tired. Barbeque unsatisfactory needs a total overhaul, cooking on it very difficult (pity). Windows in the building dirty again a pity as it takes away from the beautiful views.

The care taker was excellent and if requested to do something did so immediately. My opinion is that overall I would give it 3 out of 5 and if the Villa had a few K invested in it and a greater attention to detail it would be super and worth ever euro . Finally if they offered a welcome pack for a few extra euros for late flight arrivers it would be beneficial . ”
“this is our 2nd visit to the superior stunning Aquila villa in Chania. there really is nothing that comes close to this beautiful family villa , the views, the warm beautiful swimming pool, the facilities, and of coarse the exceptional views , the stunning interior, and the sheer comfort of quality and attention to detail. It really is perfect and when you drive along the stoney road and see it from a distance it’s truly stunning! it’s our favourite villa and favourite place in Crete , it’s amazing and everything you need re food, shops , restaurants , beaches , bars ,is all local in the beautiful Almyrida , we will definitely be back. such lovely hospitable hosts too.”
“We had a wonderful time at the eleftheria villa! The hosts are very accommodating, answered all questions and the rooms including the pool and terrace were large, clean and perfect for our week's vacation. Thank you for the perfect holidays!”
“An amazing villa and a fabulous host! The villa is very tidy and well appointed with the most amazing views and garden area. Very quiet and secure area set in the hills overlooking the mountains, lake and sea.

The host was always on hand if needed and left us so much food on arrival - he really wanted us to have a great time!

2nd time staying and never disappoints. We love it.”
“We enjoyed our two-week stay at the wonderful Villa Resi last year so much, we didn’t take long to decide to come back again this year.

We were not disappointed. This lovely villa has magnificent views across the mouth of Souda Bay, and its position on the hills above Gavalochori means it is the perfect place for a restful holiday. Most days, the only sounds to disturb us were the bleating of the sheep and goats in a neighbouring field. The villa owners are the perfect hosts. We will definitely return.”
“First of all, Iannis, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful - nothing was too much for him. I've rented many villas in my life and quite a few have had pleasant owners but Iannis is truly exceptional. Even if the villa were only average, it would be worth renting it just for the kindness of the owner! But the good news is, the villa is fantastic.

Beautiful view, beautiful pool, lovely garden that's absolutely private despite the presence of another villa on the site (we never saw the occupants and only heard them once, for about two minutes...). The kitchen was very well equipped and there is also an outside bbq. By the way, Iannis kindly left a few supplies in the kitchen for our arrival, at no extra cost. The beds were comfortable (though when we were there it was too hot to sit outside on the upstairs balconies so we used the downstairs terrace and garden), and the upstairs bathroom was perfect. The downstairs bathroom was more of a downstairs loo than a bathroom proper, but it served its purpose. And the location isn't difficult once you've managed to get there the first time (the only tricky part is the turnoff from the Chania-Rethymnon highway which is sprung on you at the last minute!).

If I have to find fault at all, which is difficult, it's the absence of ceiling fans - air conditioning there is aplenty, but it's non-ecofriendly, energy consuming (for Iannis, not for you, because it's included in the price...!), noisy and too cold. Ceiling fans are an absolute necessity, and Iannis assured me he'd install them for next year.

There's little else to add, except... if you want to eat out really well, it's worth driving the 20 minutes to the kafeneion in Maza!”
