“We had high expectations after having seen the pictures of the house and the read the descriptions, but reality overtoped our expectations. The house was like a small castle, beautifully designed, exquisitely furnished and perfectly functional. The view over the sea was wonderful and the house pool area was perfect. It was wonderful to pick wine grapes next to the house and to sit on bar chairs around the gridiron and look at the sunset. Our hosts were fantastic and arranged everything to be just like we wanted. We were very impressed by the house being cleaned up thoroughly twice a week and that everything was so carefully prepared. It was on a highest possible service level! We have rented houses earlier in several other countries, but this house and the nice treatment we received outmatched everything. We were 10 persons( aged 2 – 82 years) that during two weeks lived our dreams about the perfect family holiday. ”

“I stayed at Vaso with 6 friends of mine and we had a lot of fun. We only stayed two nights, since we stayed at another Villa most of the time. This villa is only built for 6 people, our 7th friend slept on the couch for two nights. Keep in mind that the place is not that big - so if 6 adults want to stay there, it could be quite tight. Personally I think that this place is perfect for families with children. Overall: + Nice view + Nice owners + Clean house + Good quality of the house - Rental cars are necessary, since the distance to the sea is too high too walk - No taverns/restaurants reachable without cars”

“We rent a villa every year, somewhere around the world, for our family holidays. This villa is definitely one of the best we been to. Spacious, modern, well equipped and with great view. The nearby beaches is not much to see, but there are other things worth mentioning; the old olive tree (not the tree itself really, but the restaurant was super good), the winery that is just a few kilometers away. Great wine! A trip to Balos is to be recommended and also the cemetery for the German parachutes who were massacred on Crete during the second world war. We would like to point out one thing NOT TO DO. DONT ORDER FOOD from the restaurant in the village! Bad, bad food, nothing tasted good and the wine was not drinkable. Dont go there! The owner of the villa might recommend this place as ”genuine”. Don’t belive her, it’s not true! The place is not even worth a quick stop! tasted good and the wine was not drinkable. Dont go there!”

“We, a family of 5 adults and one child 16 y, spent 7 days in Villa Margarita no. 1 during July 2014. This stay was very pleasant and we can really recommend this villa – like the previous reviews – and we also agree with the reviewers comments. <br><br>The villa is large and the interior is very good designed with two bedrooms at the top floor and one bedroom at the ground floor (actually a small apartment with kitchen and a sofa next to the bedroom). At the middle floor there is big kitchen nicely integrated with a living room and two large balconies facing towards the sea and the mountains respectively - marvelous views. <br><br>The cleanness of the house is superb, and it was cleaned in the middle of our stay as well. The air condition system is a local in each room and it is very effective when needed. One day we use the barbecue that is integrated in an outdoor kitchen and it work very well.<br><br> The pool and the pool area works fine for six persons. The organic garden next to house is very good and we got free fresh vegetables to our meals in the house (picture of the garden upload). We also got fresh eggs from the young owners who lived next to villa and they were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay in this wonderful place. When we had an issue (e.g. needed an extra key to the gate or internet problems) they responded very quickly and solved the problem. We also learned they have a social responsibility since any food left over is distributed to homeless people. <br><br>We also need to mention the cicadas – there were plenty and sometime the sound was very intense, but you get use the noise very quickly and it is also a very exotic experience. You need a car to get around, but it is an excellent starting point for short trips to Chania (15m), Platanias (10m) or the botanical park (25m). We can also recommend a trip to the south over the mountains to Paleohóra (1.5 hour) – the road is new a very good and the sights along the road are magnificent. <br><br>Sometimes when you stay long time in a hotel you are looking forward to get home – here it was opposite – we could easily stay another week here at Margarita villa no. 1. - and we wished that we had planned to do so.”

“Der Empfang mit Obst, Wein, Olivenöl und anderen Leckereinen war herrlich! Das Haus ist wunderschön, sehr sauber und perfekt eingerichtet, mit allem, was man braucht. Es fehlte uns an nichts! Außer dem sonnigen Garten, gibt es eine schattige Terasse. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Der Strand liegt tatsächlich vor dem Haus, war herrlich leer und bietet mit seinen Bäumen sogar Schatten. Das Wasser im Pool ist klar und sehr angenehm, da es wohl nicht gechlort ist. Fußläufig befindet sich ein Supermarkt, der alles was man benötigt im Angebot hat. Mehrere Tavernen sind ebenfalls zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Für einen reinen Strandurlaub benötigt man also kein Auto. Da das Haus nahe der Autobahn gelegen ist, kann man schöne Ausflüge ins Umland machen. Wir haben noch nie in einem Urlaub so schön gewohnt. ”

“Excellent gite composé de deux maisons, d'une piscine, d'un extérieur entièrement bétonné où l'on peut marcher pied nu tout le temps, et vivre sous le soleil accompagné d'un petit vent rafraîchissant !!! La piscine était propre sur la durée de notre séjour (15 jours) et peut être utilisée dés 8 heures du matin ! Accueillis très chaleureusement, par Michalis, Jenny et leur famille, choyé par de bons petits plats amenés lors de leurs venues tous les trois jours environs afin de remettre au propre notre habitation, un vrai bonheur ! La Crète est un beau pays où les gens sont vraiment très courtois, sympathiques tout en restant discrets, cela fait vraiment du bien. Nous avons vraiment eu du mal à quitter cet endroit et ces gens mettant tout en oeuvre pour bien nous recevoir. La situation de cette location est situé prés des plus belles plages de Crète et de sites aux paysages divers (montagnes, plages, campagnes et grosses villes). N'hésitez pas cette location est pour vous!”

“We had a great holiday in Western Crete and the villa is in a fantastic location on the hill overlooking Maleme. The property is very comfortable and the owner made us feel very welcome. A great family location and we would return. ”

“We have been visiting Crete for the first time and we are really impressed with the quality of the accommodation and the friendly people in the area. The owner was great although he had to wait for us for a few good hours due to our flights being messed up. Manos was very helpful in directing us to the best beaches and places around, he recommended us his friend's restaurant (that I consider to be the best place to eat in the area) and they really looked after us. We looked up the area before booking and it was as described quiet and with great views. It is one of the best areas in Crete with nice beaches and great views. Car hire is essential - the Maleme beaches and shops etc are just 2 minutes drive and the drive to Chania was about 20 mins topps. The villa has quite a few separate areas with tables for 10-12 persons, barbecue area, pool area, benches, terraces and we made the most out of it all. Would definitely recommend it to all of our friends heading that way and we are toying with the idea of going back again soon. ”

“We have just returned from a week at Calma Seaside Villa, and cannot recommend it highly enough! 2014 is the Villa's first Summer, so everything is brand new. A lot of thought has been put in to the design, and we were so surprised by how beautifully it was decorated and the quality of fixtures and fittings. We were excited by the pictures, but it's stunning in real life! The owners were incredibly helpful and met us on arrival (despite the late hour) and even included a little food hamper!<br> The beach is literally at the end of the drive, and is quiet in the week. Within 250 meters there are a number of cafes, restaurants and a supermarket. The nearest town is Kalyves which is an easy 10-15 minute walk along the sea front, where there is a bigger beach, a great selection of places to eat and boutique shops. <br> We were a party of 5 girls in our mid 20's, looking for a relaxing week away, which it certainly was! (The hammock was very well received!) We hope to return soon :) ”
