“We spent 2 fantastic weeks in Dionysus Villa. The Crete is a magnificent island with differents landscapes. Mountains and seafronts are both marvelous. Cretan are kind people. The owners of the villa are so kind, so attentives...we left them as friends. We had delicious dishes when we arrived and also during our stay ! The house is cleaned every week, well fitted with a splendid view on the sea. The only negative remark would be on the air-conditioning which was not enough powerful for the whole house. The house is a very good starting point to visit the west part of the island. Chania is a beautiful harbor. The Parasia 's restaurant near Vamos is a fantastic place to eat cretan foods and people are very kind. The Monastery of Agia Triada is worth the trip as the discover of the Akrotiri (the walk to the Katholico cave is splendid). Enjoy your stay in Crete ! ”
“Peaceful place with beautiful view. Friendly landlord who cares about you and the house and gives you tips for places to go if you want to. Cleaning twice a week. Everything for a perfect stay”
“Going down from 10 to 3 people over a 2 week holiday, this Villa satisfied all of us. We had a lot of fun and relaxation. Perfect combination with the nearby lake and beaches. Being about 1.5 km from the National highway provided good links to Iraklion and Chania as well as visits to water parks and gorges. The nearest beach is another 0.5 km from the national road and is huge. More secluded beaches are available that are a little further into Georgioupolis, the nearest town. Ask Christina from Creta Nova Homes who manage the property, she is very friendly and has great enthusiasm for making sure your holiday goes as planned.
I would have said excellent, other than the lack of an internal staircase between the two purpose build flats. It's not that much of a problem but would have been nice.
The pool and villa were kept very clean during our stay and everything was manged without us having to prompt or complain.
The villa is very peaceful and in the middle of countryside, while this does allow for secluded relaxation, I would recommend a car to go to and fro,
Another thing to be aware of is that the pool is at a depth of 1.7m along it's entire length; so small children do need some form of buoyancy aid. We opted for a blow up life jacket brought cheaply in Georgioupolis. ”
“Our two week stay at Keronia Villas was beyond our expectations. The Villa is perfectly located, walking distance to 3 tavernas and 3 shops in a very quiet village. Best taverna is on the road out to Vamos with a playground next door. 5 minutes drive to nearest blue flag beach of Almiridia. Lovely safe beach for kids.
Anestis, our contact at the villa was charming and friendly and gave us hugely helpful tips on beaches and tavernas to visit. It really made our holiday with the advice he gave us. The villa is finished to a very high standard and very well kitted out. Our daughter baked two birthday cakes while we were there! ”
“Five stars doesn't seem enough. Our hosts, the villa's perfectly equipped rooms, the land, the location... it all made for a holiday I feel was without fault. Katerina's superb food and the warm welcome we got on arrival started what was an utterly indulgent two weeks. Nothing was deceptively described and there was no misleading information. We were quite relieved that their English was so good as my Greek is hopeless! The villa is cleaner than clean, well thought out and in one of the loveliest spots I've ever seen. I hope I'll always remember the sweet scent of the ripening figs on the trees around the villa, the sound of the crickets at night and the soothing lull of the sea. Our hosts' generosity, their personalities and approach confirms that the Greeks still have a lot to teach us. From the three of us, thank you, thank you, thanks you.”
“Stayed in late May 2014. This is one of the best villas we have stayed. Extremely well appointed and maintained. Views you will never get tired of. Really the panorama is incredible. Pool is child friendly and close to the villa. Really enjoyed having access to the produce grown around the place and the host was friendly and helpful Be sure to try Costas tavern in Maza. Only thing really to complain about is the WiFi. I had to work throughout the vacation however connection was extremely unstable and often had issues logging in, which was inconvenient. WIll never forget the driveway :-)”
“We were for the second time in Gianna Villa. It is one of the most beautiful place for holidays. The house is great and the owner is really friendly. The surroundings are so nice and every day you can dicover new places. Highly recommanded!!! Thank you so much! We will come back! ”
“We have just got back from a wonderful 2 weeks at the Old Olive Mill villa in Emprosneros. The villa is in a lovely peaceful village with great views across the mountains and down to the sea.

When we arrived we were made feel very welcome by the owners with gifts of local honey, olive oil, grapes, figs and raki. Their wonderful hospitality continued throughout our holiday with further gifts of cake, cheese pies, cucumbers and grapes. The villa was very comfortable, extremely well equipped and in beautiful surroundings. We could not have asked for more from our holiday and hope to visit again in the future. ”
“We really want to share our thoughts on this beautiful villa and most gracious hosts who would do every thing in their power to make sure you have a fantastic holiday .the villa is spacious and has everything you need and what you did not know you needed.!.
The area around the villa is breath taking we spent lovely evenings eating outside ,you have three different areas out side to choose from .We have stayed in villas for the past eight years ,this has to be our favourite, and we will be booking again next year ,if you are considering booking this beautiful villa don't hesitate you will not be disappointed we loved it
The most lovely family are there to greet you on arrival and only a phone call away if you need them we were treated to a home cooked meal which was a big hit with all the family The bedrooms are spacious and beds so comfortable ,so you really don't want to leave”
“We stayed for two weeks with our three year old and were joined for one of those by our brother and sister in-law with their seven year old, we had a fabulous holiday.
We can't say enough good things about this villa and the hosts.
The villa is impeccably clean, it’s also spacious and he bedrooms are nicely kept and comfortable.
The outside space is fantastic, warm spotlessly clean pool, lovely garden and a large and well planted herb bed!
The garden is great for relaxing in, some days we only ventured out to the local shop to get supplies, there’s shade for every part of the day, a big BBQ and lovely dining area that gets the later evening sun at dinner time, perfect!
The villa is perfectly situated for getting to the beautiful beaches on the west coast, Elafonisi still takes a while to get to but is beautiful and Thalassana is another well worth a visit.
Last but not least our hosts, we could not have asked for a more delightful and helpful couple. Lefteris and Alexandra couldn’t do enough for us they’re always on hand and so welcoming and charming to talk to. They showed us to a great supermarket, put us on to the local butcher, bought us produce from their own farm (and suggested how to cook it) and showed our little one around the farm on the tractor, he loved it, beautiful people!
We rarely holiday in the same place but one day we hope to see Lefteris and Alexandra again (and grandma Joanna and baby Lefteris of course!). ”
“Directions to the villa were excellent - despite arriving close to midnight we were able to find the villa quickly. And what a great villa! Swimming pool was excellent, the garden peaceful with plenty of shade and the views of the coast up to Chania and the mountains were absolutely fantastic. All of the bedrooms are very well air conditioned (the air conditioning doesn't come on until all external doors are closed). There is plenty of room in this villa for eight, the only downside is that the dishwasher is very small but otherwise everything is good and works although one of the showers does leak and isn't very powerful. Maid service every three days and she is lovely. Get the owner to give you a list of places to visit as she has some good recommendations. This end of Crete is lovely, green and pleasant. The weather was scorching - approx. 38 degrees but the sea is cool and crystal clear. Highly recommended”
“We were a family of two adults and three children, 10, 13,15 and enjoyed staying in Markos Villa very much. The villa was comfortable and clean with plenty of different terraces to eat or sit depending on the sun, and the views of Suda Bay were stunning. On some mornings the adults got up early to watch the sunrise. The garden although small was rather lovely; and we all enjoyed the pool. The local taverna was excellent - very friendly and relaxed and we ate there several times. The only downside to the villa with teenagers is that it is too far from Chania or Rethymno to just go in for a couple of hours. In general, however, a very good place to stay.”
