Nektarios Villa is located in a peaceful area, among olive groves, 800m from the coastal village of Maleme. As it is built on a hill it offers wonderful panoramic view of the Cretan Sea and Maleme Village. Maleme is a historic village; in front of the villa is the old airport, the centre of replenishment for the western Crete during the World War II. Now the village is a popular destination and provides all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay: supermarkets, groceries, bakeries, drugstore, restaurants, bars and of course a crystal, clear sea.
The villa is built on a property of 1000sq.m. The whole front part of the garden is covered with grass and has amazing view. Next to the villa is the swimming pool and around it there are sunbeds and parasols for relaxing moments doing nothing but admiring the view and enjoying the tranquility of the area. The barbecue is under a wooden pergola in one corner of the lawned garden. Behind the house there is the parking area, flowers and trees.
The villa is 120sq.m. and built on two floors. At the ground floor there are a cozy sitting/dining area with a fireplace, a fully equipped open plan kitchen with table and chairs and a bathroom. Stairs lead to the first floor, where a bathroom, a double bedroom and two twin bedrooms are found. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom. All bedrooms have French doors leading to private balconies with panoramic view.

Das waren wunderbare 2 Wochen zwischen den Olivenbäumen. Das Haus ist sehr schön, die Aussicht ein Traum, der Pool ist super. Mit Grill, den wir auch oft benutzt haben. Der nächste Strand liegt aber ca. 1.5km zu Fuß entfernt und hat grobe Kiesel. Man benötigt also unbedingt ein Mietwagen um an Sandstrände zu gelangen. Wir haben den Vormittag immer am Pool verbracht und sind mittags ans Meer (Balos 1h Fahrt, Elafonisi 1.5h Fahrt, Ravdoucha....) oder ins Inland (Tageswanderung Samariaschlucht, Wasserfälle,...) In der Nähe gibt es den Deutschen Soldatenfriedhof. Eine Fahrt nach Chania dauert 20 Minuten und haben wir zum Essen öfter gemacht. Knossos, Heraklion, Psychro dauerte und die einfache Fahrt über 2,5h zu lange und haben wir nicht gemacht. Alles in Allem: zu empfehlen!
We had a wonderful time on Crete and enjoyed the villa very much. The pool was really taken care of and also of anything else in and outside the house. We were happy about a lemon tree in the garden. The owner was available to help us with a Wifi problem and left us fruits when we arrived and cookies after cleaning. The view is really beautiful and it's nice to enjoy your breakfast looking at trees, mountains, the city and the ocean. Sometimes it was too cold and windy to sit outside in early May, but we still enjoyed our stay very much.
