“Two of us had an enjoyable and comfortable 11 night stay in Yasemi Villa in early May. We found it to be very well furnished and equipped in a lovely private setting not far from all necessary amenities. The property is in a rural location with nice views of the countryside and sea but close to the coast with easy access to beaches, shopping and restaurants. The nearest well stocked supermarket, which also has a cash machine, is an INKA In Maleme, a few minutes away by car. The same distance in the other direction is a useful bakery. Restaurants can be found in Maleme near the beaches and many more in Platinias, the nearby main tourist centre.<br><br> The rear of the villa with the private garden and pool face west and benefit from the sun all day. There is a direct view of sunsets and we enjoyed these over a glass of wine from the veranda which runs along the rear of the property and overlooks the garden. Although it did not bother us, the gravel surround on three sides of the pool may not appeal to everybody. There is a lemon tree and banana palms which were fruiting while we were there and provided us with some produce. The front porch, framed with bougainvillea, is an ideal shaded spot for breakfast. <br><br> Cleaning and change of towels took place every third day while we were there. George, the owner is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English. We found the whole process of booking the villa and car hire through Chania Rentals extremely straightforward and efficient.<br><br> All in all, a very satisfactory holiday in a lovely location. ”

“It was first time visit to Crete for all of us (4 middle aged) and we couldn't have any more pleased and delighted with both the villa and location. The villa was beautiful, clean and had everything you needed. A nice size pool for a relaxing and refreshing dip, good furniture and a garden. Upon arrival the villa owners were there to greet us and explained everything and showed us around. They had put plenty of water and other provisions in the fridge and there was plenty of towels and bathroom provisions. We found we were missing an airer during the week and once contacted they were there within 5-10 mnutes with one - they couldn't do enough for us, they were excellent.<br><br> The villa has an excellent location just outside Georgioupolis but was only 5-10 minutes walk across the bridge over the estuary going to sea. The town has some wonderful restaurants and is quite quaint. We went on a boat trip along the coast using George and his helper Thomas. We went into caves both swimming and with the boat and also were able to go into a cave home on the cliff face that had been inhabited for 20 years up until 2012. It was a great trip. I would recommend this particular boat trip (small speed boat) as opposed to the larger one in the harbour as it has a maximum capacity of 7-8 people whereas the large boat can take up to 42 people with 18 seats. We were able to book the small boat for just the 4 of us.<br><br> I would highly recommend this villa if anyone is thinking of staying in the area - we will be back!”

“We had one of the most wonderful holidays ever in Crete. The villa was even more incredible than we thought it would be. The pool is amazing and so are the views. Everything was clean and well maintained. It is very peaceful and private. The surrounding areas are picturesque - small herds of goats, olive and lemon trees, sea and mountain views. This villa could easily fit two families. We absolutely loved it! The restaurants and beaches nearby are also really excellent. There is a good bus service into Chania if you don't want to drive. Everyone is so friendly and the food is amazing! We recommend Maria's restaurant at the bottom of the hill. We'll be coming back to this villa every holiday from now on. Absolutely loved it. :D”

“Together with my family (two adults, three children) we just spent a wonderful week at Villa del Mare. The place is nothing but outstanding: It sits right by the sea on a cliff, offers plenty of space in- and outside the house, is equipped with high quality furniture / electronics / kitchen etc. and comes with a modern, rather minimalistic interior design, offers incredibly scenic views from almost any room and provides for a fantastic pool - what more can you ask for? I would therefore recommend this place to anybody seeking a somewhat isolated but otherwise generous and perfectly positioned retreat in the Chania / Akrotiri region.<br><br> Some further, more practical, comments: The basketball court is real, huge and offers fantastic space for any kind of outdoor sports with the kids. Just be mindful that it is also a bit rough (all concrete, the iron basketball basket's being rusty, no net around the place etc.); that said, we used this vast open space many times to play football, Frisbee, etc. <br><br> A rental car is a must have. Within a 5-10min drive you can find several small, but well equipped, supermarkets - and there is no shortage of nice restaurants in Akrotiri and Chania area. Due to the prevailing strong winds (usually from north-west) you may want to prefer going to wind protected beaches if you are travelling with children (for the same reason the house's drive way down to the water is now closed as the lowest section of the concrete path got destroyed by strong waves). On the Akrotiri peninsula such calm and sandy beaches can be found in the bay of Stavros (10min drive) and Marathi (25min drive). Both beaches have also some very nice little restaurants on offer. The old town of Chania and the historic port area are nothing but wonderful and also just a 25min drive away from the house. ”

“Wir waren mit 9 Personen in der Villa Margarita 1 und koennen Sie uneingeschraenkt weiterempfehlen. Das Haus ist sehr schoen eingerichtet (sehr stylisch)und bietet genug Platz fuer bis zu 10 Personen. Der Pool ist direkt am Haus und sehr angenehm. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefuehlt. Es ist sehr ruhig mit tollem Blick zum Meer. Margarita ist prima und wir bekamen immer wieder frische Eier. Falls wir wieder in diese Gegend kommen sollten, werden wir sicher nochmals dieses Haus buchen. Als Ausgengspunkt fuer die westlichen Hoehepunkte gut gelegen. Jederzeit wieder. ”

“Villa was fantastic! Loads of room, clean, well kept and great views. We were a young group of 8 people and had one car between us for the week which worked well, the walk down to town is manageable but you are on a hill so the walk back up is a bit trickier. Owners were friendly and helpful, we had a fruit basket and bottled water left for us on arrival which was great. Would stay again.”

“We had an amazing time at the Dionysus villa, it was the highlight of our 5 weeks in Greece. Everything was perfect. The place was clean, the view is beautiful, the pool a must, perfect location for a relaxing vacation! The owners of the house were the best we ever had. We had a chance to meet them and taste their home made olive oil, honey and more. We wish our stay was longer. Crete has so much to offer we will go back one day for sure. We would strongly recommend staying at this villa and book a place throught Chaina rentals, they are very professional and helpful. ”

“Es war ein wunderbarer Urlaub in dieser Villa! Wir vier - meine Frau, unsere Kinder (2 Jahre und ein Baby) und ich - haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Mai 2015 verbrachten wir hier sehr entspannte Tage. Das Haus bietet alles, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Die technische Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Badezimmer ist praktisch und schön eingerichtet, ebenso wie die Küche, von der aus man immer einen Blick auf den Pool hat. Das ist gerade mit Kindern ein enormer Pluspunkte und erlaubt Ruhe beim Kochen. Die Schlafzimmer sind mit jeder Menge Stauraum ausgestattet und liegen in den oberen beiden Stockwerken. Wir haben alle vier exzellent geschlafen, mehr muss man nicht sagen.<br><br> Kommen wir zum Außenbereich: Der ist nahezu perfekt aufgeteilt. Es gibt neben dem großen Pool mit Kinderbereich Sonnenliegen samt Sonnenschirmen und einen Grill, den wir regelmäßig benutzt haben. Zudem einen kleinen Garten mit vielen Blumen, der topp gepflegt wird. Das Highlight sind die beiden Terrassen im ersten und zweiten Stock: Meine Frau und ich haben hier jeden Abend gesessen und den Sonnenuntergang über der Souda-Bucht genossen. Unbeschreiblich schön! Wenn man nach links blickt, sieht man auf die schneebedeckten Weißen Berge. Großartig! <br><br>Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit ist Mikos, der Hausbesitzer. Er kommt regelmäßig vorbei und reinigt den Pool. Dabei ist er immer freundlich, aber keinesfalls aufdringlich. Er spricht sehr gut englich. Wenn man fragt, kann man ihn bei einem Spaziergang mit seinem Hund Max begleiten. Mikos erzählt interessantes über sein Heimatdorf und gibt Tipp.<br><br> Zum Ort Drapanos: Er bietet Ruhe und Entspannung pur. Beinahe täglich hatten wir am späten Nachmittag Besuch - eine Ziegenherde machte auf einer Ruine direkt neben der Villa Rast. Im Ort gibt es zwei Tavernen. &quot;Leonidas&quot; können wir sehr empfehlen. Herzlich, gastfreundlich, lecker und preiswert. Für Familien: Nebenan ist ein kleiner Spielplatz. Unterm Strich: Wir kommen wieder!!!!! ”

“We spent a wonderful week (3 adults) at the Dyonisus Villa. We enjoyed every minutes of that week. Villa is clean, confortable and well equipped. The outside terraces are peasant and convenient with a nice view on the ocean. The generosity of the owners George and Katerina is outstanding..thank you to them! Highly recommended.”
