“Fantastic location. Close to beach, which is not overcrowded. Beachside restaurants as neighbours with good and inexpensive food.

200 m walk to small supermarked with fresh bread in the morning.

3 nice bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Modern, nice and well equipped for 6. We really enjoyed location, house and swinning pool.

Good service with midweek washing and change of towel.

Only negative is awfully slow wifi and also bad 3G/4G. ”
“We had a great time at Villa Stella.
It had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday.
The house is very homely and comfortable.
The pool is fantastic and the garden with all the fruit trees - very inviting.
We found the villa to be in an excellent position for walking down to the beach - where there are lots of lovely restaurants and also very near to the bus stop where there is an excellent bus service. (We did not have a car - got a taxi to and from the airport and then used then bus when we wanted to - although it was difficult to leave the pool!).
The owners were very flexible with our coming and going which was very helpful.
The cleaning service twice a week was also excellent.
All in all our perfect place. ”
“We spent a week at the Sea Queen Villa July 2018. The rental process through Chania Rentals went smoothly and was very professional.

Upon arrival, Michael the property manager met us to handover keys and review the property - he was lovely! He left us with some local Cretan honey, olive oil and wine.

The home was beautiful and easily accommodated our large group. Each bedroom has an ensuite bath and AC which was great for those hot summer nights. The kitchen was fully functional – even had a dishwasher (though who wants to cook on vacation?!?). The outdoor area was well maintained and beautiful – loved having the pool! Being at the villa was truly relaxing! The midweek clean was a nice feature too.

Sea Queen is centrally located, just a short drive to the Lymani (Old Harbor) with tons of restaurants, shops and cafes. A 2 minute walk to Ag Apostoli Beach and Synka Supermarket up the road. It has quick access to the Ethniki Odos (Highway) to get you anywhere in Crete….Elafonissi Beach, Falassarna Beach, Kefalas Town, Rethymno, etc.

We travel to Chania often as we have family there and will definitely rent the Sea Queen again! ”

“Returned yesterday. We had the villa for 3 weeks so that all of our family could come. It worked beautifully. The villa was very clean and well kept and the pool was great and again cleaned regularly.

If we ever had a problem (squeaking bed, sun umbrella, tv) Stelios dealt with it very quickly.
I would have liked a welcome pack just some milk bread eggs etc.
The road noise bothered me (very dependant on wind direction)but not everyone in my party and was less audible by the pool wall. Without this the only sounds were the crickets and the birds.
The local restaurants in Maleme were great with friendly staff this was also true in Kolymbari.
We all enjoyed the villa and the pool and we had a great holiday.

Chania Rentals were the best travel agency I have ever dealt with - so relaxed but also efficient. We had a car through them which worked very smoothly too. I would definitely use them again.
Julie Brighton”
“The villa is exactly as in the photos. Located off the main road and up high enough for great views and peace.
The sunrises were amazing listening to the birds and cockerel!
A car is essential for the supermarket and transfer from airport.
Lovely villa with great views. Amazing swimming pool and garden. The villa is clean and comfortable with everything you need to relax and unwind.

However there are a couple of problems:
The internet connection is rubbish. When it does work the speeds are slow. I feel they should look having cabled internet installed as in 2018, it is essential.
The two showers and small toilet leave a lot to be desired.
Downstairs column shower covered in limescale stains, column didn't work and the handheld part had no where to hook it onto the wall.
Upstairs over the bath shower, better but still not great.
Small toilet upstairs, no window and smelt quite often.

I would recommend the villa. We had a great two weeks but the problems above need sorting to make it excellent.”
“Very nice, clean and fairly new house where everything just works.

Very spacious house where we could easily fit to families of ten in total (with loads of bathrooms - good when 7 women are living in same house ;O). All is there and the pool is also big and great.

The local village is very charming with a small bakery, mini market and a restaurant that is worth more than one visit (and live music on mondays)

Just to focus on the very small and very few negatives;
- Aircon is missing in one of the rooms
- Wifi-speed should be upgraded (couldn't stream World Cup)

But all in all, well worth all five stars.”
“Wir (2 befreundete Paare) waren im Juni für 2 Wochen in der Villa Elina. Die Villa ist einfach nur richtig gut. Sehr sauber, toll eingerichtet, tolle Lage, schöner Ausblick. Die Villa ist noch schöner, als es auf den Bildern aussieht. Es geht kaum besser. Danke für den schönen Urlaub.”
“Fantastic villa in a brilliant location up the hill from Lake Kournas. Beautiful views and a lovely breeze when it got too hot. Giannis met us there with lots of supplies to get us going for the first day, including a very welcome cold beer. Great pool and really nice gardens. Perfect location for exploring the north coast, and an easy 50 minute drive from Chania airport. Excellent family-run restaurant 5 minutes away (Kavalos Taverna), plus lots of choice in Georgioupolis or Kavros. First time in Crete for us and we'll definitely be back. Thanks so much Giannis!”
“From our hearts, THANK you Caterina and family for giving us a real Greek experience and an amazing holiday in your fantastic villa. The villa is top class and has got everything you need. The design, interior and furniture is amazing. The 180 degrees ocean view is to die for and so lovely. We really like that there are nice sun beds and top nice garden furnitures. When we arrived Catherina had cooked us delicious home made Greek food and left the fridge filled with feta, Vegetables, juice, olive oil and much more. Amazing to be welcomed in such a way. Late in the week suddenly there was a small surprise food bag and raki on our door step with amazing Greek home cooked food.

The villa has got plenty of towels, shampoo and cleaning articles. We felt so welcome and had an amazing week. Around the villa there are olive trees and fruit trees to pick from. The beach is 3 min away, down the small hill (use the path next to the local Greek restaurant) and super marked is 300 meters away down the hill. Also we found the best restaurants in town just down the hill. Try the restaurant right next to the beach, very informal and looks like “nothing”, they cook homemade greek food and grow their own vegetables. It takes 15 min to walk to down town, however we liked best the restaurants close to the house. We can warmly recommend villa Dionysus, we had the best holiday ever. From our hearts thank you Catherina and family. ”
“We had a great holiday at Villa Danae, the communication with Chania Rentals from first enquiry thru to booking was excellent, all questions answered quickly. We met the owner Kyriakos at the meeting point about 5 minutes from the villa who then shown us the way through the village and olive groves, which was a nice and easy drive. Kyriakos was very easy to talk to and gave us some ideas of places to visit.

The property itself was very clean, well-appointed with everything that you could possibly need including a small safe which we made use of. The TV is a flat screen and not an older CRT as in the photos. The villa is located in a secluded, peaceful and relaxing spot with views down to sea. The pool was nice and warm, good for day/night swimming, and the cleaning system keeps it very clean apart from a few leaves. Kyriakos comes once a week to check and clean the pool and a maid to clean the villa. On the terrace there were sun loungers and various tables and chairs giving options for dining/relaxing in the sun or shade.

The INKA supermarket in Maleme is pretty good, never very busy and always got a parking spot there, also there is a Lidl close by.

We visited Chania quite a few times. The Catholic Church service is at 10am on Sunday, then lunch at one of the restaurants overlooking the harbour.

I honestly don't have a bad word to say about our experience only that I wished it could have lasted much longer! ”
“When we arrived at Joseph Villa the owner Giannis was there to give us a warm welcome, the fridge was well stacked with food and there were many sweets and fresh fruits for us.

He was very kind and showed us the whole location. And, what could I say, the villa, the garden the surroundings at all and the view over Kournas lake and the beachfront of Kavros were outstanding and overwhelming. The pool was fantastic, every day- or night-time. To stay in the villa is so private and individual you would never get to know in a hotel with All-In.

The villa was well equipped, all furniture and culinary implements you need are there. The only thing to criticize was the bathroom at ground floor. You could not take a shower without spatter the whole bathroom with water. So what? Doesn´t matter. We arranged showering in the bathroom upstairs, lovely.

I would also like to thank chania rentals here in particular Mr. Artemis who was a competent and helpful employee. He made very good work in administration. We hired a car through chania rentals we only could recommended. it was a diesel car and there was plenty of room for four people and luggage.

This holiday was our sixt stay at crete in the last 5 years. We normally stay in west crete, most times in Rethymno, because west crete has marvellous beaches and wonderful citys like Chania and Rethymno. So we could recommend you to visit Chania and Rethymno old town, go to Marathi Beach or Kalatas Beach at Akrotiri, visit Falasarna Mega Beach in the west or Elafonisis in the south west, go to Kissamos and further by ship to Balos Beach, wonderful, also you can go to the south, only a short turn from Rethymno to Plakias, Frangokastello, Moniprivelli, Damoni Beach, Skinaria Beach, Matala and so on.

Here are some restaurants we would like to recommend you. near to the villa you can go to Kavalos with cretan traditional food, delicious. Also a good restaurant is locaated in Kavros and named Dionisos. The owner is a nice lady, Sofia, and she speeks a good german. In former times she stayed a long time in Germany. The curiosity is, that she will tell you, what you will eat!!! Very good dishes, entertaining and fabulous Raki.

Finally, I would like to thank you once again Giannis for your hospitality, the Retsina, the local sausages and chicken for our BBQ. I hope we will meet again....”
