“We spent a week in May 2019 in IO Villa and we did not regret it. The house is big and wonderful with all the things you need and was exactly from what we could expect according the pictures on the website. The view to the coast and sea is wonderful.

The furniture is Cretian, so not very comfortable to sit in, but that's about the only point of critics. Because our stay started a bit chilly we did use the airco in the livingroom as a heater. The bedrooms, sun terrace and swimmingpool were great with all the privacy you need. The garden is full of beautiful flowers in this period. A very quit surrounding without any noise was lovely. Only the birds could wake you up. The housekeeper Manos did everything to make our stay as nice as possible. A rental car is needed and the road up into the hills is good to ride and all asphalted.

Conclusion: high recommended! ”
“We stayed in Calma Seaside Villa for a week in early May and wished we were staying longer. The villa is kept to a very high standard and has an air of peace and quiet about it. The starter pack of local produce was very useful and the owner guided us through the operation of the heating and the air-conditioning systems (neither of which we actually used).

The beach is just outside the gate. There is a good taverna very close by and the well-stocked supermarket, just 5 minutes’ walk away, is open 7 days per week. Other tavernas are in easy walking distance. Kalyves has a good range of small shops and is a short car ride away, or a longer walk.

Highly recommended. ”
“We had a a very relaxing 10 day stay at Eleni Villa. The pool was sublime for all sorts of fun times with the family. More-so because basically now our family of 5 are all but adults. You're almost alone up there (raised above the tree line) and no one looking on.

The situation was great being one of two villas but in front of the other so the views afforded were uninterrupted by any other building. Also the fact that our villa was in front of the other meant most sound was deadened.

It was a short drive out into the sticks as such from the hustle and bustle that was Maleme, still typically just out of season. A car was a must to access the shops but the beach and general facilities easily walked to especially if you gathered the nerve to walk through a holiday complex nearer the beach.

When we arrived, the owner met us at the villa and indicated to us the wifi and typical other things. Nice to arrive to a bowl of fruit and plenty of bottled water in the big fridge freezer. The owner had stayed on because our flights in were delayed which was nice. The owner also ferried staff to us periodically whilst operating a maids service.

Okay the wifi wasn't amazing at times but we found that moving the unit upstairs into a bedroom helped. However it was a holiday so none of us were overly worried as to this issue. The air conditioning, not really advertised was throughout the villa and excellent.

The showers weren't perfect and the bathrooms were a little Britain 1990's. Also the dishwasher wasn't the best at washing, there were ants out on the patio, the odd gecko and the cicada's were endless, (yet no mossies).. but this is Crete and it comes with the territory. Talking of which, the territory (the land on which it was built) was the hill where the Germans landed, invading during the second world war. Lots of local history nearby.

The outside grill and pizza oven just fine and the provided loungers ideal. The outside shower by the pool was useful indeed. I wonder that the unused room downstairs could have been a good games room or gym? Just a thought.

Overall, yes it has the odd little issue but lots of good too ... so yes it gets 5 stars from us and all the family wish to go there again soon. ”
“We spent one week last year in villa resi. We are a family with tow child's an were are really enyoing our stay here. An absolutely wonderful place. Relaxing on the pool with the great view. There ist nothing missing. The host are very friendly wine and a appelcake are placed on the table when we are arriving. There are some nice taverns near by and to chania its only 20 minutes. We hope that we are coming back sometimes. ”
“There was 4 of us (2 couples) and we all absolutely loved the villa. Stunning view, amazing patio with the pool and the VIEW is just breathtaking! The sea on the one side and the mountain on the other. The villa has secured parking ( car required), fire place ( might need to use it in April time ) as the weather vary. We cooked and ate inside and outside. Perfect for 4 people.

The communication with the owner was second to none. Met us on the 1st day and showed the house and check on us during our stay. Highly recommenced and would come back without any hesitation. 5 start all the way!

The villa is just 3 min walk from Terra Crete-olive oil production-go and book yourself a tour-worth it! The villa is surrounded by olive trees plantation. Restaurants and shops 5-10 min drive away. Try their fresh bakery products! Restaurants: Wave in (10min drive) great fish served on a hot stone, Glykeria-in Elafonisi-The best moussaka and MYLOZ In Kolymvari - (10min drive) quality food. The best meal! ”
“In April we had a wonderful three weeks holiday in this great villa. The villa has been beautifully designed and materials and colors have been used very nicely. The location was superb, you could see and hear the sea and the white mountains were still full of snow. There were already many flowers in nature and we walked a lot. It was too cold for swimming but the heating and the shower were warm enough. The owners were very friendly, spoke good English and responded immediately to questions. We highly recommend this lovely villa!”

“We stayed at the Maleme Villa during our Easter holiday for a week. Since we had an early morning flight and the villa was empty, we got to sign in already at noon. The landlady was very welcoming and had gotten some local delicacies for us.

The villa was high quality, clean and spacious. We were two couples and one child travelling and fitted very nicely in the main building so we didn’t use the pool house. The yard was tidy, comfortable and pretty secluded from neighbours and streets. We were propably first visitors after winter so the villa felt a bit damp in the beginning. Luckily the heating was very effective and after warming up the dampness wasn’t an issue anymore. There was also air conditioning for summer available. The pool was at our disposal but water was still a bit too cold for longer swims.

Location is quite peaceful and there’s only a short walk to the beach (our 3,5-year-old could walk it back and forth easily). There’s also a good supermarket (Synka) close by on the main street. Bit further towards Hania there’s town called Platania with shops/restaurants. We had a rental car but public buses seemed to drive pass regularly. During our stay in late April it was very peaceful as the main season wasn’t on and some places were still closed (some bit more secluded tavernas, bike rentals etc.) and under some renovation after winter. There were also lots of landfalls in the mountains nearby which occasionally had destroyed half of the road. All in all Maleme Villa can be easily recommended and if we ever go back to the region we will surely book it again.”
“We liked both the house and our hosts. The house is beautifully situated, the rooms have a nice layout. From the balcony of the master bedroom you have a view over the whole valley to the sea. Everything was perfectly clean. We were very pleased that in the bath rooms there were sufficient soap and toilet paper available, so those had not to be the first on our to-buy-list. Also, we were very excited about the welcome gift, consisting of coffee, tea, two bottles of mineral water in the fridge, cookies, a bottle of wine and a decanter of raki. What a nice gesture! Our hosts were on hand when needed, but never intrusive - really very sympathetic. We will gladly stay there again. We would like to recommend it to other guests. ”
“We had the chance to stay in this Luxurious villa for 2 weeks.
What a fantastic villa..
Manos( owner) with family made our stay really pleasant. Brought us a huge Moussaka, own olive oil and Raki. We where visited daily by Silver( the horse) and the dog we called Foxy( looks like a fox)
The house has it all.2 showers, 3 bedrooms, a huge kitchen living room concept.
Every room has a balkony.
We just got in Love with this place.

Situated on a very quiet area among olive growes
Near Gerani and Platanias.
The road to the house is a bit tricky( dirt road) but once get used to it, it’s ok.
Hope to het there again
Thanks Manos. ”
“From the moment Alexandra and Lefteris met us at the airport we knew we were in safe hands! They were so welcoming and we felt spoilt by the overflowing fruit mountain and local wines. The villa was beautifully prepared for our arrival and was spotlessly clean! We arrived in the dark and in the morning we were met with an idyllic view from our bedroom balcony!

The villa has been sympathetically restored to ensure guests can enjoy modern facilities in a traditional Cretan property which has a wealth of history and heritage. The outside space is designed to ensure privacy and the 3 balconies ensure you don't miss the sun/shade depending on when your preference. The pool and garden offer an oasis of calm and tranquility.

Finally the owners have mastered the perfect balance of being on hand if needed whilst respecting your privacy. ”
“We, 2 adults and 1 child, stayed in Metochi Villa for 1 week in octobre.

The villa ist great, spacious, clean, well equipped! The pool is really nice and well maintained. The views from all the rooms and the pool area are just fantastic!

We appreciated very much the ideal location of the villa. It is close to Chania and to a lot of dream beaches. Good tavernas are in a few minutes drive.

The owner is very nice and helpful.

All in all we had an excellent stay and can absolutely and very highly recommend the villa!”
