“Superbe Spot!!
“We have just returned from a 11 night stay at Villa Victoria.

The location is beautiful, very peaceful and relaxing with amazing views. That alone would give 5 stars, however, being honest, the villa inside was not 5 star.

There are a few issues, whilst not massive, might be a consideration for future guests. Starting in the kitchen...it is very poorly equipped if you want to prepare your own meals. 3 large glasses and 3 small glasses in the cupboard with 4 small wine glasses. Enough for our family of parents and 2 adult daughters, but really not what would be expected. There were hardly any serving dishes to put in salad etc, although there were plenty of plates. I usually travel with various equipment as I am a cook, but apart from mine, there were no scissors in the kitchen. The hob and oven, no complaints, and a large fridge freezer.

in the lounge there is no real comfortable seating. As you can see from the pictures, there is a long wooden settle type settee, be warned it is not for relaxing. Also there were 2 ikea Poang type chairs, covered with rather glum looking throws, 1 brought out by us from the downstairs bedroom. That is it. All the chairs outside on both the patios are firm, but with no cushions of any sort. We had a couple of dull days, with a bit of rain and it was hard to be comfortable inside. The beds are a little hard too unfortunately.

Another thing to be aware of, there is NO SHOWER in this villa. There are 2 shower heads, one over the bath upstairs, and another in the downstairs cloakroom, neither of which have any means of being hung on the wall.

The bathroom shower is part of a jetted bath with a curved back, so any sprayed water runs round and down onto the floor. There was no rail or shower curtain when we arrived, but this was brought and fitted the next day, which was good, but you still couldn't use the shower spray either standing or kneeling in the bath without the water covering the floor. Also, my daughter tried to have a bath, and lovely as the jets looked, there was not enough water in the tank to reach them before it ran cold. The downstairs toilet shower was unusable I would say with out soaking the whole room, toilet paper included and anything on the windowsill. Also as the door was a slider, it would appear that you would need to be careful of allowing water into the lounge. Look carefully at the picture of the room on the gallery. One more small point. The downstairs cloakroom, as I mentioned, has a sliding door, that is in no way soundproof !! It is therefore obvious to anyone in the lounge or kitchen, exactly what is going on in there....and what it smell like!!!

All this may seem unimportant to you, if that is the case, you will be very happy here. If you are a little concerned about it, then maybe consider more carefully before booking. We did enjoy our time in Villa Victoria, but would not rebook for the reasons I have set out.”
“Wonderful place. Very clean. Unbelievably polite host. It was by far the best place during our 3 week stay in Crete, where we were in 3 places around Chania.

The place is well equipped. The pool is bigger than it appears in the pictures and is 1.6 m deep, which makes it very pleasant to swim. The owner had increased internet speed prior to our arrival and I was able to work comfortably from there as well. A very nice accessory for me is the Chromecast connected to the TV - you can easily see the pictures on the TV that were taken during the day :) The view of the sea from the bedroom and its hum in the morning - the perfect place!

We were greeted with lots of local specialties and the owner's own oil - it was very nice.

Whenever possible, we will be happy to stop in this wonderful place again.

You do not need a car to arrive, but if you plan to explore the area, it will be very useful.”
“beautiful renovation, very relaxing week, we love Crete, spectacular scenery throughout the hills, an abundance of taverns for the thirsty. very welcoming hosts, if you love figs like we do then this is the place for you!

the house had all we needed, very comfortable ”
“We spend a fantastic and amazing week in Calma Seaside Villa. Thank you so much to our Host all was perfect. The house is so confortable and nice decoration (beds, bathroom in each bedroom, living room, kitchen) and with perfect situation at 30 meters from the sea. It's definitly the place to be.

You have some precious taverns by the house (5mn walking) and a supermaket. The most difficult is to leave the house because we would like to stay all the time there. For sure we will come back. We spend amazing holidays. i recommand warmly this house. ”
“We spent 2 wonderful weeks at Joseph Villa. The view is unbelievably beautiful. The garden lovingly maintained, the location very quiet and relaxing. The sheep on the neighboring property complete the perfect picture.

In the house there is everything from safe to hairdryer, we have missed nothing. The pool is very large and we had a lot of fun, on the whole property are shaded areas and nice retreats.

And to top it off - the lovely landlord Yannis. He welcomed us with lots of goodies and a perfect prepared house. Everything fit 100%, highly recommended, we would book the villa defintely again. ”
“The villa is located in a really quite neighborhood. If you’re planning trips around the west coast, like Balos or Elafonissi, it’s a good starting point. Also the city Chania is only 20-25 min away with a car. We recommend to rent a car via Chania Rentals.

The villa itself was clean and tidy like the pool. Please be informed because of the current covid situation, there’s no cleaning during the stay. But we got fresh towels delivered.

We liked the privacy in the area and the keepers were really friendly and they could help us with every question.

We can recommend to stay at this place and we would consider to book a villa via chania rentals again when we visit Crete for a second time. ”
“We have had all we needed. Two families of two adults and two children – enough space, very well kept / maintained. Unexpected - additional cleaning & towels exchange during one week stay is a bonus. Wonderful swimming pool with the right temperature - kids were playing there for hours... Not even mentioning EXCEPTIONAL welcome and… goodbye from the hosts! We got fruits, bottle of wine and Raki & olive oil of their own production!!!

It is true that the villa is very close to the petrol station but you cannot smell it or hear anything as it’s located on the local, not very busy street. Also – it is just 3min walk to the beach. And 2 minutes to the local shop. And there is car rental right there – next to the local shop. And it’s a great location for any car trips to explore the island. We went a few time to Chania for a dinner but also discovered an excellent restaurant (superb food & location!) directly on the beach locally that you can just walk to (Mythos Restaurant).
I know that when you read you want to see advantages and disadvantages of any place – but in this case we were 100% happy with the villa (& outstanding services from the owners!)
All in all – absolutely recommended! 5 out of 5!!! ”
“Myself and my friend group of 6 stayed in villa aretousa 2, and it would come too short to say we had an incredible stay.

We were greeted by lovely Giannis, the villa owner, at the airport. He immediately took us to the local supermarket and graciously waited outside while we shopped, and was so kind and accommodating throughout our stay. He offered to take us on day trips and also provided us transport back to the airport.

The villa itself was simply spectacular; the pictures do not do it justice. It is very spacious, with 2 kitchens, 4 bathrooms, and 5 bedrooms (most of which had double beds). All of the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the ones on the top 2 floors had incredible balconies with remarkable views. All the facilities (kitchen, air conditioner etc.) worked perfectly. The decor was lovely, especially in the bathroom on the 2nd floor, which was marble. The pool was amazing, decked with 6 sun loungers, and we had great fun with the mini golf. We often spent long stretches of the day happily chilling in the villa, as it was simply so lovely.

The location was very handy, just a 10/15 min walk to the local Agia Marina, which has so many great restaurants and beach clubs.

Overall, I could not recommend this villa more, especially for larger groups. The value is incredible for what you get. I would go so far as to stay it was the nicest place I have ever stayed in. ”
“The surroundings of the villa are very quiet.
The view is spectacular, specially at sunset.
Close to Plaka village, with is quite enjoyable (market, restaurants).
And concerning Manolis : the warm welcome, the quality of the communication on WhatsApp, the advices (restaurants, sightseeings) everything was great. ”
“The Calma Seaside Villa was a perfect spot for our vacation. We stayed there for two weeks. The house is located very close to the beach and is surrounded by olive trees and an nice backyard. Everything is very well maintained and the house is modern. The owner was very nice and left us a full fridge with lots of local foods, water, drinks and freshly baked bread, toast, Dakos bread, olive oil and lots more. We wouldn't have needed to go grocery shopping for at least 2 days! Even coffee was stocked up well - so we could just start our vacation right away. Just perfect.

We had really everything we needed in the house and by the pool. In every of the 3 bathrooms there was a hairdryer, soap and other amenities. We really liked the interior design and the decorations! You could tell, that it was done with love.

The cleaning lady came twice a week and everything was clean and the towels were alle renewed. I appreciated very much, that the owner informed us quite in advance that the cleaning lady was coming. Over all the communication was very easy and we felt well informed, and if there had been any problem, we would have been helped for sure.

There are a few nice restaurants within walking distance or a short drive by car. Every restaurant sits right by the ocean - so nice.

I can only rate this house with 5 Stars! We will be back. Thank you very much for 2 relaxing and perfect weeks. ”
