“We had a wonderful week in Villa Gianna. The villa is situated in the hills above Vrisses, so it feels tucked away and secluded, but is in fact a very short drive from the beautiful beaches of Giorgopolis. The owner, Sifis, was very hospitable and greeted us with a basket of local produce (very useful all of it - e.g. olive oil, yoghurt, feta, delicious herbs, handmade olive oil soap...). <br><br> The villa has beautifully tended gardens and a lovely pool. There is a huge vegetable patch and we were encouraged to help ourselves to ripe produce (tomatoes, courgettes, etc). There is a wonderful stone built barbecue and pizza oven at the back of the villa. <br><br> The villa itself offered comfortable (but not luxurious) accommodation. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and a midweek maid service and linen change helped to keep it that way. There is one double room with an ensuite shower room and two twin rooms and a family bathroom on the upper floor. On the ground floor there is one double bedroom with it's own adjacent (but not ensuite) shower room. This shower room is also the only downstairs wc. <br><br> We were 2 families of 4, so 4 adults and 4 young children and it worked very well. The siblings shared the twin rooms and the adults were in the doubles.<br><br> Points to note: You will definitely need to hire a car if you are staying here and the steep hill leading to the villa is quite dramatic (definitely to be done in 1st gear!)<br><br> The pool is not gated, but it is visible from all points of the house and our children (ranging from 18months to 4 years old) soon understood the house rule of not going past the 'line' without a grown up, so it wasn't a problem, as long as we were vigilant. ”

“Vallia Villa was beautiful - we loved it. Five of us thoroughly relaxed there, by the pool, and the owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It has all you could need in the villa, air con in the bedrooms, plenty of wardrobe space, lovely furnishings, barbecue etc etc. It was tucjed away and very private although you could hear the noise from the nearby main road, but it hardly bothered us. The only problem we had was that local taxis struggled to find it! We had a few taxi 'experiences'!. However, for a chilled out relaxing week in the sun with friends, we would definitely go there again. It was a short-ish walk to the coast where there were many restaurants, and a 15 minute drive into the town of Chania. And Chania Rentals are also a very efficient company - thank you!”

“This was one of your best holidays ever... A fantastic Villa with a fantastic view over the Soda bay. The villa looked completely new and clean. We arrived late at the Villa, and it was a great surprise to discover that the refrigerator was filled with all we needed for the breakfast next morning - Thanks :-). The area is also very fantastic - just between the two traditional villages, Vamos and Gavolochori. Also the car rental was very convenient and easily. ”

“The Anthos villa is located between Vamos and Gavalochori village and in very quiet and relaxing area. From the house, the view on the Almirida bay is beautiful. Thanks to the villa location, it is quite easy and fast to move to well known places such as Chania, the wonderful and typical village of Vamos and Almirida. The Anthos villa is recent and well maintained where all the necessary confort is provided for all the family. This is the ideal place to have relaxing vacations.”

“Really comfortable villa in a spectacular location. We were very well looked after by the owner, All essentials supplied for hitting the ground running in the kitchen, as well as Manos's own olive oil, wine, and raki- all delicious, thank you Manos. Try the local kafenion in the village- good food, very friendly, and very cheap. Best beach- go the extra mile and try Falasarna- you won't regret it. All the family had a great time, thanks Manos, and, thank you at Chania Rentals for the cheap car hire and making the booking so easy, we hope to be back.”

“In the whole we had a wonderfull time during this short week on the island but we didn't have enough time to explore all good spots on the island. After a long search, well in advance, we finally decided to take Villa del mare which was an excellent choice. Firstly, the villas location was excellent and offered us the privacy we needed as a big family and the property was big enough. Right from the first moment we knew that it was a good choice due to the stunning views, the great pool, the big house and the modern infrastructure. Another advantage was that walking down the path next to the villa, you could immediately have access to the sea and have a nice swim. The different beaches on the island and the nature were lovely, unfortunately we couldn't visit them all. An important issue was that even when the weather was really warm outside , the temperature inside the villa remained cool enough which was very nice (important also since we had young children with us). The infrastructure was what we expected for the price we paid and the rooms were big enough to host a big family. The only inconvenience we noticed in Crete were sometimes very small roads and bad rental cars. But as mentionned above, we had one of our greatest holidays and we were excited byt the hospitality of the greek people. ”

“We stayed in this great villa for 2 weeks. There were 10 of us, 6 adults and four children. We had a fantastic holiday. The house , garden and pool were all first class. We were made very welcome and had great freedom to enjoy a wonderful holiday. We were particularly impressed with the standard of cleanliness and the frequent visits of the cleaning ladies! They work so hard. Thank you again for a super stay.”

“We stayed at this villa in june 2012, the weather was fantastic and the villa was lovely. The Villa was very clean and very well equiped, and the owner was only ever a phone call away should you needed anything. You do need a car as the villa is not fair from town, but its along a steep uphill unlit road. We would recommend this villa if you are looking for something quiet and out of the way.”
