Joseph Villa is built on a slope of a mountain offering a majestic view over Kournas Lake and the sea. The mountains are reflected into the lake creating a beautiful picture and when the sun falls behind them the view becomes breathtaking...You can spend many relaxing afternoons at the lake strolling, swimming, riding a pedalo or even eating or drinking a coffee at one of the restaurants with lake view. For more amenities the fishing village of Georgioupolis - the starting point of a long, sandy beach - is 6km away.
The 2000sq.m. garden of the villa is covered with colorful plants, olive trees and grass. Every part of the garden offers great view. The big, private pool has a children's area. There are sunbeds and parasols where you can relax enjoying the tranquility of the area and hearing the sounds of a rural village. There are two covered verandas both furnished with garden sets and offering sea/lake view. There is one more veranda facing the mountains.
Joseph Villa is a two floor building. The living area with the fireplace is furnished with a comfortable corner sofa and a traditional cretan sofa. An arch seperates the kitchen and the dining set from the living area. On this floor there are also a twin bedroom and a bathroom. Wooden stairs lead at the first floor that consists of one twin bedroom, one double bedroom, a bathroom and two verandas.

We had a wonderful week at Joseph Villa. The villa is in an incredible setting, with breathtaking views across olive groves and Lake Kournas, extending to the sea and mountains too. Enjoying a morning coffee or evening Mythos next to the pool with such a stunning backdrop was truly sublime. The villa itself is well-equiped and Giannis (the owner) was there to greet us with an amazing welcome package, including milk, bread, pasta, cheese and cakes. The beds are all comfortable, there's AC in every room and Giannis provided a high chair and cot for us too. The villa was easy to find and communication throughout the booking process was seamless. We would return to this villa next week if we could, it's a very special place.
Wir waren zum zweiten mal da. Es war wieder alles perfekt. Der herzliche Empfang, der hervorragende Zustand des Hauses, des Pools und des Gartens. Ebenfalls schätzen wir die authentische Einrichtung mit den rustikalen Holzmöbeln und den vielen Einrichtungsdetails. Das wirkt sehr wohnlich und man fühlt sich von Anfang an, wie zu Hause. Der Eigentümer ist sehr aufmerksam und um das Wohl der Gäste besorgt. Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns, dass Haus genau so wieder zu erleben.
We were there for the second time. Everything was perfect again. The warm welcome, the excellent condition of the house, the pool and the garden. We also appreciate the authentic decor with the rustic wooden furniture and the many furnishing details. It feels very cosy and you feel at home right from the start. The owner is very attentive and concerned about the well-being of the guests. We will be back and look forward to experiencing the house again in exactly the same way.
