Aquila Villa is a beautiful, newly built house, built on the top of a hill offering unobstructed 360° panoramic view over the north coast, the fertile countryside of Apokoronas and the mountains. The small, unspoiled village of Drapanos is 600m away, while the organized, sandy and shallow beach of Almyrida is 6km away. There are 2 taverns and a mini market in the village and for more choices you must drive to Plaka, 4.5km away.
The villa is built on a 2000sq.m. fenced property. There are young fruit trees in the entrance, ornamental plants in planting beds, a big lawned area, 3 pergolas and a bbq; but the impressive focal point of the outdoor area is the huge, infinity, heated pool with the big children’s area. Every hour of the day the view is impressive but the sunset is magical – the sky is painted red and the lights of the villages turn on…
The two floor villa consists of a large open concept area, four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a wc. The entrance opens to a sunlit area with a vaulted wood ceiling. On the same floor there are two bedrooms - one en-suite double bedroom and one twin bedroom - one more bathroom and a wc. There is a sofa bed in the twin bedroom where one more person can comfortably sleep. Wooden stairs lead to the upper level, where two en-suite bedrooms - one double and one twin - are found. There is a sofa bed for a child in the twin bedroom. Both twin bedrooms can be turned to doubles.
The swimming pool can be heated upon request at an extra charge. The heat pump can warm the pool 5° C above the temperature of a non-heated pool, up to 28° C. A 4 days advance notice is required.

Booked the villa for a reunion week with old friends, one of which lives locally. It was the person living locally who recommended Aquila Villa, as she knew it well as a result of having other friends staying there in the past. With 4 ensuite double rooms and large reception room the villa was perfect for our needs. The property is every bit as good in real life as it looks in the pictures, the owners are very nice and really helpful, and the views from the property are stunning. The cooking facilities are good, but we ate dinner out every evening as the local restaurants are very reasonably priced and the food excellent. Most were a short drive away, but our favourite was the Eleonoras Taverna in Drapanos, which was within walking distance. If we visit again this will be our first choice property to book.
