“Wir, mein Mann und ich, haben unseren diesjährigen Urlaub wieder in der Markos Villa verbracht, weil wir die dörfliche Ruhe und die Lage dieser Villa sehr schätzen. Das Grundstück ist nur von einer Seite einsehbar. Die Villa ist mit allem eingerichtet, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht, es sei denn, man möchte fernsehen (nur ein deutscher Sender). Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und bequem eingerichtet. Alles ist für 6 Personen ausgelegt, allerdings gibt es nur ein Badezimmer. Um den Pool gruppieren sich mehrere Liegen, Sonnenschirme und Sitzmöglichkeiten sowie der Grill. Für Kinder ist der Garten allerdings zu klein, um sich auszutoben. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, spricht gut englisch und hilft bei kleinen Problemen sofort. Wir werden wiederkommen, denn dieses Haus verspricht uns immer einen schönen entspannten Urlaub. ”

“Wir waren Pfingsten für 2 Wochen in dieser Villa. Es war traumhaft. Der Vermieter kümmert sich rührend um alles. Das Haus, der Garten und der Pool sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Aussicht ist von jeder Terrasse fantastisch. Es fehlte an nichts und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die Taverne im Ort (Leonidas) und in jedem Dorf in der Nähe (Yaladiko und Ioannis) sind durchaus empfehlenswert. ”

“We spent a wonderful 2 weeks in the villa. The owner is a charming person, helpful and easily available if the need arises. The place was great, with really nothing to complain about. If you go there, don't hesitate to try the close by Greek tavern called To Yaladiko, on the road down to the coast, next to a glass factory. The menu is limited but the food typical and excellent.”

“From the moment we arrived on the Island we felt secure and comfortable. Margarita contacted us as we were a little delayed which showed her character. <br><br> Margarita was such a lovely host and professional. There were 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 young kids (11/7 years old). We spent a week at the villa and felt we were very well taken care of.<br><br> The villa can seem a little tricky to get to, but after the 2nd day driving around we got our bearings and found our way around through the lush olive trees.<br><br> Our kids were very happy with the pool and the rooms were very tidy and clean. There was a cleaner that came half way through the week to do a quick clean and provide clean towels. We also received fresh organic vegetables directly outside our villa and even fresh eggs dropped over from the nearby farm.<br><br> The only gripe i would say we had was the constant echo of the local crickets that covered most of the surrounding area but after a while we managed to just ignore them. However we did have a headache of cleaning up those that had fallen into the pool on a daily basis. But nothing major to complain about.<br><br> The local village is literally 10mins drive and the main motorway is a short drive away. I would suggest a car!<br><br> Overall, a great holiday and super villa if you want a totally chilled out one.”

“I stayed here with my family at the end of May and everyone loved the house! We had a wide range of ages from 2 to 75 and everyone enjoyed themselves. <br><br> The house itself is true to the photos! Everything is in excellent working order and it is extremely clean and well kept! Mike who looked after us while we were there was also very helpful. Any questions and queries were sorted out asap! and he was full of excellent suggestions to improve our holiday. <br><br> Andreas restaurant just around the back of the house is also excellent for food! I absolutely loved the moussaka there! Not to mention the tourist train stop is just a few minutes walk down the road! And then there's the choice of 4 beaches and the amazing views from the cliffs just up from Iguana Beach! I highly recommend watching the sunset from the cliffs! <br><br> All in all a perfect place to stay! ”

“Our 2nd trip to Crete and our first to the Olive Mill.<br><br> I researched the area well and having used Chania rentals on our first trip I was confident this would be just as good. We also did our car hire through them as well and it was great having someone meet us at the airport with the car outside waiting for us.<br><br> On arrival Kostas (the owners son) was waiting to tell us all about the place and showed us around. Loved the villa and pool, plus the covered BBQ and wood oven was a bonus. The area was so quiet and just a mile outside the centre of the village.<br><br> We went to Vryses to buy all our provisons which was 10 minutes down the road and gave us a choice of 3 decent supermarkets. The small mini market in the village didn't really carry much of a range but was fine for 'top ups' of milk, bread was best from the bakery around the corner.<br><br> The villa was lovely, just about the right amount of everything you need, with the added bonus of a dishwasher! The only negative comment would be the beds but I think that might just be a Greek thing. We like a soft bed and theirs are hard. We got around this by using a duvet under the sheet which then made it just right.<br><br> The hospitality of the owner is amazing. Most days we would come home and find a 'present' of some sort. Eggs, cake, cucumbers and tomatoes - in fact every day was a surprise. We were also given a bottle of home made wine, olive oil and raki.<br><br> If you want peace and quiet then this is the spot for you. The gorgeous beach of Geogioupoli is just 20 minutes away and well worth a visit. We mainly catered for ourselves but there are plenty of places to eat in Vryses.<br><br> I wouldn't hesitate in using Chania rentals on our next visit to Crete!”

“To sum it up, we can't wait to go back. The next time, I'm bringing my snorkel gear. There were earlier reviews that indicated it was difficult to get down to the water due to the boat ramp being washed out. Apparently that has all been repaired. You can walk all the way down the path behind the house and into the ocean. The children had a great time swimming and there is beautiful water and fish. ”

“We had a very relaxing and relaxing holiday in and because of Villa Joseph. Giannis is a very good host. We felt very comfortable from the first day. The garden is fantastic and with a lot of love laid out. The pool does what it should ;-) cool when it gets too warm. The cats have given the kids a lot of fun. We can only recommend the villa.”

“Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison. L'accueil est très chaleureux avec quelques victuailles et des conseils de visites. La maison est très agréable, fonctionnelle. Le jardin est joliment arboré et la vue sur la baie est magique ! L'endroit est très calme et bien situé pour découvrir tout l'est de l'île.”

“Just back from a 2 week stay in Lefteris Villa and cannot praise it enough. This has to be one of the best villas we have ever stayed in. <br><br>We arrived gone 1am after a flight delay, but Lefteris, the Villa owner, was there to meet us with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for Lefteris and his wife Alexandra. They popped in twice a week to clean the Villa and supply fresh towels and bedding. Always just a call away if any problems arose or for any info on where to visit etc - very friendly. <br><br>The Villa is gorgeous with everything you need and the pool and outside space was just perfect. It's in a lovely quiet area so relaxing here was no trouble at all, but local shops, restaurants and the beach just a couple of minutes drive away. Chania is lovely, only a 25 minute drive. Make sure you walk out to the lighthouse at sunset, it's worth the walk!<br><br> Rethymnon is another must see. It's about an hours drive, but you're rewarded with a pretty little harbour and there's lots of shopping to be had. One of our best days was a visit to Georgioupolis (on the way to Rethymnon). There's a lovely little chapel in the sea - you have to walk across a rocky little path to get to it. Then just while away some time in a local cafe with a Nescafé Frappe! On the way home we stopped at Kalyves and sat in a restaurant overlooking the sea while the sun went down. Perfect. <br><br>This was our 2nd visit to Crete and it didn't disappoint. The weather was gorgeous, the locals so friendly and the scenery amazing. We would recommend Crete for a relaxing family holiday and we would definitely stay at Lefteris Villa.”

“Villa Aurora exceeded all our expectations. It was perfectly located - although only 5 minutes drive from Maleme with its beach, restaurants and amenities, it truly felt like you were getting away from it all. Nestled in the hills, surrounded by olive groves with the most amazing sea views and currently not overlooked at all, it was so peaceful. <br><br>We are a family of 4 and really enjoyed the space! The villa could easily sleep 9 or 10 and was beautifully decorated in a contemporary style. The pool and the extensive garden were perfect for our kids, aged 8 and 5. There are an abundance of fruit trees and aromatics, which we made use of when barbecuing. The villa has huge windows to make the most of the incredible views on all aspects, so is light and airy, and there are insect screens on all windows which are very useful. <br><br>We visited the beautiful beaches at Falassarna (about 35 mins) and Elafonisi from the villa (1hr 20), as well as Chania (30 mins) and Rethymno (1hr). Booking through Chania rentals was very easy and Vlahakis Artemis, the manager, was always very prompt in responding to any queries I had. The owners were lovely and very helpful and we feel very privileged we were the first people to stay in this outstanding villa.”
