“One word - WOW! This is a huge, four storey, villa with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two kitchens and two lounge areas. It was very well equipped with everything we needed and more - dish washer, washing machine, juicer, coffee machine, sandwich maker - the list goes on.<br><br> It was cleaned twice a week along with fresh bed linen and towels. The pool area was very clean with plenty of sunbeds and lots of space for outdoor eating. On the lower level was a lovely garden area, well maintained by the owner with beautiful flowers and olive trees. The private drive with electronic gates also featured lovely flowers. We had a pizza oven and a BBQ area which we used quite often.<br><br> The villa was about 1/2 hour walk from the town which was fine going down but a bit of tough going back again especially in the sun, better to wait until dark. We didn't hire a car deciding to walk to the Supermarket and then get a taxi back with our shopping a few times. However, the benefits of the beautiful views, the peace and quiet and the solitude more than made up for a few sore calf muscles!<br><br> Highly recommended and we would love to return one day. Eight very happy adults and three very happy children :) ”

“From the moment we were greeted by Nikos (Villa Owner), we felt very relaxed and had a wonderful time at Villa Stella. We enjoyed the fruit basket and bottle of wine that greeted us on arrival.<br><br> The pool is fantastic but we spent a good few days out and about including several at Platanias which has some nice sandy beaches. The local beach is all pebbles and not clear water but only a 5 minute walk. Good restaurants along the local beach front and of course must mention the Reggae Pub!! Good music and atmosphere here. <br><br>We went to Elafonisi beach which is about an hour and a quarter drive. It’s stunning but incredibly windy!!! Better to go in the afternoon as wind died down but you need to walk through some of the pools to quieter and the best parts of the beach. <br><br>Back to Villa Stella - beds were comfy with air con in all bedrooms. We enjoyed several meals too from the magnificent bbq! Lovely maintained gardens and maid came twice a week two clean/change linen. Only negative was that a few nights sleep were interrupted by dogs barking at neighbouring properties but overall, this did not spoil our stay at Villa Stella”

“We have just returned home from a brilliant 2 week holiday in Crete, one of our best yet!<br> Euphoria Villa is a fantastic base to explore the Chania region.<br> Located just on the outskirts of Plaka village, which is a 15 minute walk. Here you will find two very good shops/Mini Marts & 5 or 6 Tavernas.<br><br> The food and service was excellent at the tavernas & was reasonably priced, our favourite was Taki's - a family run restaurant.<br> The nearest larger town is Almirida, a 10 minute drive. Here you will find the beach & a host of restaurants - we enjoyed the sea food at Psaros.<br><br> The Villa is a modern 3 bedroom with 2 bathrooms, it is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. You have all the facilities & equipment you need inside.<br> It's extremely peaceful, set back from the road & secluded, not overlooked. The villa is set in the grounds with lots of trees & a large outside terrace with lots of seating & an outside cooking area with a BBQ<br><br> Our children voted the pool was the best part of their holiday and played and swam for hours. The outside terrace is as immaculate as the inside of the villa, the pool is clean (checked every 3 or 4 days by the owners)<br> We enjoyed several bbqs taking in the views & watching the sunset. <br><br> The views from the terrace and balcony are absolutely breath taking!<br><br> The owner Manolis - was there to greet us as we arrived & gifted us a welcome pack. He was very helpful & attentive, available via Whatsapp should we need him and visited us a couple of times.<br> We can't praise Manolis enough, he has a superb Villa and is a terrific host. I'm sure we will be back one day. ”

“We were 5 friends that spend a wonderful 7 days in this beautiful estate.<br> It's definitely the most charming villa one could ever imagine for a vacation with family or friends. It's the perfect level of privacy, the location is gorgeous with the most beautiful garden surrounding the entire house and pool. Multiple balconies and nicely furnished rooms leave room for privacy, if you wish to withdraw for a while. And the view towards the bay is magical. We will never forget our stay, - so we hope to return again soon :)! <br>The hosts are also the friendliest people ever, just being nice and welcoming. We were welcomed with a bottle of a tasty white wine and a packed box of delicious Greek cookies.<br> Just simply top grade on every level! ”

“We had a wonderful holiday at Stelios Villa. The location was perfect, away from the town and secluded. The villa owners were more than happy to answer any questions and the outdoor space and pool were amazing. The sunloungers were so comfortable.<br> Would highly recommend staying here for a family holiday. ”

“Thank you to Chania Rentals for being so understanding with our booking from 2020, & moving it to 2021 and finally 2022! <br><br> We (9 of us) had a fabulous 2 weeks at the villa. Easy to find with the directions. Lovely welcome pack of fruit & wine to greet us. Spacious well kept villa. Kept very clean by the lovely housekeeper, Margarita. Plenty of shady spots in the garden if needed. Car needed but 2 little grocery shops are only 5 minutes walk away for supplies. 2 restaurants in the village, lovely food but service can be a bit hit and miss depending on how busy they are.<br><br> The only small negative for us was the BBQ area. The BBQ looked large on the photos but it now has a tiny grill which doesn't work with a large number of people so we didn't end up using it.<br><br> Plenty of great places to visit and nice friendly people. Sad to leave :( ”

“This house was absolutely perfect for us. The location was in a small hamlet, so felt wonderfully secluded and rustic, however was just 10-15 minutes drive to Platanias bustling with tavernas, small boutiques and lovely beaches. <br><br> The house itself was a carefully renovated 300 year old stone building, that was comfortable, spacious, while retaining lots of gorgeous character. There are 4 bedrooms, and each one has its own charm. My favourite was the upstairs double bedroom, which had windows on 3 of its 4 walls, with shutters that I kept open so that I could see the sunrise all around me in the morning! However each bedroom had its own unique aspect. The kitchen was large and very well equipped, there was nothing that we needed that was not supplied. It would probably be equally great to stay in cooler months, and light the fireplace in the kitchen, and sit around the TV in the sitting room- we did not do either of these things, but imagine fall/winter would be perfect for this. Two modern bathrooms, with lovely stone tiles, and great showers etc. <br><br> The owners were equally delightful, and made sure everything was exactly right for our stay. The pool was wonderful, and we were happy to have some shaded areas with hammocks and lounge beds as well as areas in full sun. The upstairs terrace provided an idyllic spot for an early morning coffee at sunrise, as the whole sky turned pink, as well as outstanding sunsets to watch with a glass of wine in the evening. <br><br> All in all, a fantastic visit, and I would happily come back!”

Handtuchwechsel<br><br> Ganz OK:<br> restliche Technik lief, Möbel und Badezimmer teilw. etwas in die Jahre gekommen, für Preis-Leistung aber oK. <br><br> Öfters überraschender Besuch vom Besitzer, der sich um beide Häuser kümmert und schon gekühltes Wasser zur Begrüßung in den Kühlschrank gelegt hatte - und eine Flasche Wein. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at Enid Villa. There are plenty of places where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the sea, lulled by the song of the cicadas. The pool is beautiful. The house has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The Enid villa is perfectly located for visiting the Chania region. There are some very good Cretan Taverns around.<br> Many thanks to Anton and his wife for their hospitality!”
